This was a perfect stay in a wooden villa just outside of Gusinje (about 4km). The location was great for me (I had a car) and I had easy access to Prokletije National Park. The hiking was the best I did in my time in Montenegro. The accommodation was great and the villa had everything you need and was very comfortable. My whole stay was made excellent by Nemanja and his family. They provided me with all the detail of where to hike, where to eat etc. I also had some of his mothers home cooked food which was lovely. Nemanja also showed me around his juice making equipment and gave me a bottle of amazing fresh juice from his farm. If you are coming to Prokeltije National Park (which is amazing) then I highly recommend you stay here and Nemanja (who speaks great English) will help you with all your needs.

It’s was one of those snowy days. We were on a trip for snow hunting 😂 The owner, a very nice woman welcomed us and even gave the kids sled 🛷 to play. Everything was clean. There were enough wood 🪵 to keep warm inside. My son had a birthday and they even gifted him a cake 🎂. Thank you so much !❤️

Bungalows Prokletije, hotel in Gusinje

Situated in Gusinje and only 19 km from Plav Lake, Bungalows Prokletije features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Lovely little hut in nicely maintained gardens. Bed was comfy although the sheets were a bit worn. We had a little kitchenette with a single hob so were able to cook a simple pasta and sauce for dinner but anything more complicated would be problematic. There was a fridge, kettle and a sink, basic but functional. The bathroom was small but the water was nice and hot. The toilet flush broke as soon as we arrived but it was fixed immediately which we appreciated. They don't serve food but a couple of the neighbouring guesthouses do. The valley is stunning, the mountains here, like everywhere in Montenegro, are gorgeous. There's no great view from the hut but there are a million hiking trails right on the doorstep.

a beautiful town that is underrated, and under developed too. The surrounding alps is sooooooo beautiful! but basic instrastructure is lacking - the bus station is only a parking lot with no ticket office. there are some abandoned properties. There are lots of beautiful trails but looks like hasn't been maintained for a long time and it's not accessible. And trashes are in the beautiful rivers, mountains, trails. with more people visiting Gusinje, and local government's effort - clean up trashes, improve the public insfrastructure, and most importantly set boundaries to protect the national park and environment, and improve the situation of the trails, hopefully it will help the local economy.

we did not spend much time in the town centre, but drove though it. There is very different feel about Gusinje and the Moslem influence can definitely be felt, with a large mosque located right in the town centre. The town centre was very busy and seemed to be full of visitors, so clearly there are things to do apart from the hiking...which is what took us there.
