Just across the street from the Uxmal Pyramids, and a 40 minutes' drive from Merida. This historic resort offers an outdoor pool and a working plantation filled with fruit trees and jogging trails.

At the Uxmal archeological site. Big hotel. Our room (suite) was huge and comfortable. The pool was very pleasant. The restaurant of their sister property was just a few minutes walk.

My family and I enjoyed our stay a lot. Waking up with the sounds of birds, jumping in the swimming pool and do yoga before a well done breakfast. And the service was top level.
Posada El Jardín is an eco-friendly property that offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, sun terraces by the outdoor pool, and a palapa that serves coffee for a fee.

Perfect location, hideaway in the village, surprisingly quiet. Nice pool in the middle of a garden. The host was always ready to please you. Authentic village with plenty to discover around. Would go back
Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site. Lots of large sites to see and you can wander at your own pace. It was my favorite of the sites we visited on the trip. Tickets and entry could be clearer and signage at sites in Mexico is always lacking, but the quality of the ruins and architecture is fantastic. The scale, intimacy of the visit, and amount of ruins is superb.

To really get to experience Mayan culture, the near by towns and cenotes and more archeological sites I would recommend a week in Uxmal .
I loved every minute we were there .
I would also recommend having a much spending money as possible, not because things are expensive it is that there is so much to do and it will cost money .
Horse riding , vintage 4WD hire , the prices for the sites and tours has risen due to the pandemic .
Also supporting local artists .

The site is wonderful and the hotel was surrounded by orchards birds flowers amazing palms. A couple of small interesting local museums with animals local Mayan customs and chocolate cultivation. The Lodge restaurant which also belonged to the hacienda estate was a short walk and of a high standard.

We traveled by car because my older sister has specific food needs due to ALS. A blender, two boxes of food and a cooler were graciously hauled to and from our room by the hotel staff. They could not have been more accommodating and helped to supplement her diet with fresh food from the kitchen.
It was my sister's fifth and probably final trip to the awe inspiring sites of the Yucatan. We are so grateful for the experience.

Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission.
Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission. Hotel Uxmal Maya charges 33% more for using US money or cards. Do not go if you don’t want to feel ripped off. Nothing special about hotel as at every turn you have to be guarded about being ripped off.

The bed was very firm and the hot water took a little longer than I would like but everything else was just fantastic. The food was amazing the staff tried to help us find anything we were looking for. It was a nice welcoming place to stay
Everything - from start to finish - was great. We were met by the concierge while still in the car, who spoke good English and walked us through the process of registering and getting the room key. The place was nearly empty - assuming due to the Covid scare - so we shared the entire complex (a fairly large property) with maybe 10 other couples / families. It was like having your own private resort. There were probably just as many staff working as there were guests, so everything was in tip-top shape.
The location is 10/10. It could not be more convenient for visiting Uxmal first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive and the weather gets too hot. The hotel buildings are attractive and in keeping with the jungle surroundings. We liked the rustic chalet but it might not be to everyone's taste. Weirdly empty when we stayed in late July - there cant have been more than 20 guests in the entire hotel. But this meant for a very quiet stay and we had the pool to ourselves.
Beautiful historic hacienda surrounded by gorgeous tropical garden, pools, fountains and birds. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite with outdoor glassed in bathroom, stained glass windows and traditional elegant furnishings. Steps from the Uxmail ruins was a plus for our three-day visit.
Wonderful breakfasts but no restaurant for dinner on site (5 minute walk away with plain food only.) Staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient.
Location is excellent for exploring Uxmal (you can visit it in the morning while there are no tourists and watch a special night shows when regular tourists leave the place). The hotel itself is a kind of place to explore: authentic, with a lot of history. The staff is very helpful. They helped us with booking very interesting tours around Uxmal, we saw really cool Mayan places with a few / no other tourists there. Thank you!
The room was big and air condition worked well. That was especially important, so that the kids (5 and 8y) had room to play. The hotel was generally nicely done and the location across from the ruins was nice.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. There was a lot of tree seeds falling down, so you had to hurry to eat and drink you stuff, so it wouldn't be spoiled.
We were upgraded to a very nice room at The Lodge hotel which is next to the pyramids and very pleased with the facilities and services.
The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom tub, good air conditioning, fans and beautiful carved wooden door, displaying a well sculpted Mayan design.
The place to stay when visiting Uxmal, which is a 5min walk away. The pool is a great place to relax after visiting the ruins early morning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Near by there is also the chocolate museum.
Lovely staff, nice room overlooking jungle canopy. Very nice pool area with chairs, tables and palapa. The location to Uxmal was very convenient ( 5 min. By car). Restaurant was good, reasonable prices and selection.
Perfect location near the Uxmal ruins. We only stayed overnight. Big room, confortable, balcony with a great pool/nature view and you can even see the ruins in the distance.
Coffee maker in the room.
+Beautifully located in the middle of the jungle, 3min drive (or 1.5km walk) to Uxmal
+ Room was big, clean and had a great view
+ Breakfast was very good
+ Staff was extremely nice and helpful
If you're visiting Uxmal the location of the lodge is excellent. Just across the road. The staff are very friendly. They are genuinely happy with serving you. The included breakfast was good.
Pancho is not only a great host who knows how things work in Mexico. He is also a master at coffee making and a wizzard at temazcal. The latter especially was an impressive experience.
Great location close to the ruins with view of the temple from our balcony at night. Friendly and helpful staff. Surprisingly excellent quality food! Other diners commented similarly.
