The place is out of this world. It is simply amazing. A definite must go to place in Inhambane. I loved the location, the scenery, the food was good. Oh, and the people were extremely nice.

The room and facilities in it were great. It was only accessible by climbing up 70 steps, no problem if you are fairly fit, and meant for a great view. Help was available to carry up luggage on arrival, but not on departure .

I loved loved loved the property. The design is gorgeous. It's close to the main beach but not on the beach so you get more privacy but it doesn't feel isolated. From here you can pretty much walk to most things. The house itself was clean, cosy, felt inviting, there's housekeeping everyday and Laura the host is really wonderful. Laura really looks after you when you there and as a solo female traveler I never felt unsafe. I cannot wait to return lol it was amazing. See you soon Sunset Tofo!

Location, Location, Location! The beach is just a few metres away, allowing you to jump into the Indian Ocean whenever you like without the hassles that occur once you are even just a few hundred metres away. It's ideal for children: a shallow entrance and smooth waves. Special thanks to Wanette and Shawn, the managers of the lodge. Everything was expertly managed plus their advice and support in booking activities in the area was invaluable. From snorkelling to see seahorses and hundreds of sea stars, to collecting pansy shells or doing a quad-bike tour into the area or going whale shark viewing. I can highly recommend venturing out. The chalets themselves are not new but well maintained. We bought fresh Portuguese rolls from the locals every morning and also amazing tiger prawns for the braai. They were very friendly and I recommend supporting them. Alternatively there are two restaurant options in walking distance just along the beach. Green Turtle is pricey/upmarket, but don't we all need some spoils during our vacation? Overall we had a great time in Barra!
