Two of the three people in our group are vegetarians, but we found several suitable dinner options at both De Kluis and San Marco Italian Restaurant. Bij Frouke op de koffie is a great little coffee house for sandwiches, cakes, and coffee, but sadly was not open for 5 our 7 days in the area due to the owner closing over the school holiday. The Albert Heijn supermarket does not front onto either main street (N225 or N227), so we had to search around to find it. Huis Doorn and its extensive grounds are worth visiting. Climbing de Kaapse Toren in the national park gives a great view over the area.

Room was comfortable and has toiletries and coffee supplies, but you won’t need the coffee maker because breakfast was included. And what a breakfast! Buffet style with absolutely nothing missing: pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast and pastries, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, and computerized espresso machines. It was such a treat to stay here after a long day of cycling!

The hotel is located in woodland which is a 20 min walk into the village. I was traveling by bicycle and the hotel provided great secure bike storage. The staff were very helpful and the room was excellent. My only niggle was no tea and coffee facilities in the room.
