Pretty neighborhood with a welcoming atmosphere. The reserve is beautiful, and perfect for day trips. Some cute cafes and restaurants that, when things start to open up again, will be buzzing with energy. Overveen is a little gem!

The hotel is only ten minutes walk away the railway station...
The hotel is only ten minutes walk away the railway station - and you don't hear the trains. In 35 minutes you're in Amsterdam. Perfect!; Overveen is a delightful place as is nearby Haarlem. The Dutch are so friendly- I love them.

Small but well resourced area on edge of Haarlem.
Small but well resourced area on edge of Haarlem. Good supermarket, excellent ice-cream shop, bakery and coffee/restaurant. Regular trains to Amsterdam and coast. Close to beach and national park. Very leafy and quiet area. Haarlem just a 25 minute walk if you want great food, plenty of shops and beautiful church.

Big comfortable bed, modern bathroom, little balcony where you can sit. The apartment is above a friendly and good quality pizza restaurant so there is a little bit of kitchen noise early in the evenings but they close early.

Easy for day trips to Haarlem and Amsterdam on the train from Overveen. Klein Centraal Restaurant at Overveen train station on the way back from day trip was special (www.klein-centraal.nl). Always full so need to book a table....
