Perfect location with an amazing view to the fjord. Less than 5 minutes walking from bus station and supermarkets. Room was clean and big enough for two people, comfortable bed; clean bathroom with adequate amount of products and towels. Big window with balcony door, which provided direct access to the lawn outside. Nice lounge area with cozy chairs and fire place.
Excellent personnel, very friendly and accommodating. I arrived after 10 pm, the check-in counter was already closed, but my room was ready for me and access instructions were provided online.
Nice breakfast - freshly baked bread and crackers, variety of vegetables and fruits, cold cuts, hot options consisted of boiled eggs and omelet; juices and tea&coffee station (which was available throughout a day).

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car. And the town is small, quiet and charming.Miguel AngelNorway - 10Scored 10

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy. As main attractions you have the waterfall of Vøringsfossen, the norwegian nature center museum and the farms and views of Kjeåsen. There is some great hiking in the area.
There is some great hiking in the area. We took the trail to the foot of Voringsfossen waterfall, which gave a different perspective from the viewpoints along the road. The hike to Kjeasen mountain farm is a lot of fun, with a few scrambles on the way up. This is quite steep and slippy in places so best done on a dry day. The views from the top are stunning. We also did a day trip to Bergen from Eidfjord, if you have a car it is doable to go there and back in a day. Eidfjord itself is very small and easy to get around. We mainly ate in our hotel (Eidfjord Fjell and Fjord Hotel) which was very nice to go for dinner.

We enjoyed exploring the surroundings like the Øvre Eidfjord hike (see the Alltrails app) and the beautiful views from Kjeåsen a short drive away. The accommodation is an old charming building renovated to a very nice modern standard. The house was clean and well equipped. There is a full kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms, and two toilets (one with a shower and laundry). Gina was a very helpful and service minded host.

Then breakfast the next morning was exceptional. We loved the fact that this property was a pension not an hotel. It was a personal stay where interaction was with the host rather than a larger and possibly corporate property. My husband and I would happily stay again and would highly recommend this property.

Dinner was sublime (grilled reindeer with baked pear) and staff was very friendly. You can’t beat the incredible view and plethora of hiking options at your doorstep.
