Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May. The sky is grey and filled with smog. Visibility is very poor and none of the surrounding mountains could be seen. Also the airport remains closed due to these weather conditions. Travel time on road between Kathmandu and Pokhara is almost 8 hours one way due to road projects. One should travel later in the year when the visibility improves and the airport is open all day.

We were glad we went there. We flew on Buddha Air from Kathmandu. On the day of our return back to Kathmandu, it was foggy and the flights were cancelled. We had stayed at Hotel Middle Path. Everything was more than perfect. All through my journey to ABC trekking, people I met were beautiful. It was quite safe and joyful to walk alone. Momo, Spaghetti, grilled chicken, salad at Smoking Yak were truly delicious.

I have spent months in Pokhara - due to the covid psychosis I was not able to return to my home country. Pokhara is an excellent place in Nepal and it is by far the best starting point for an enjoyable trek - Everest Base Camp trek is awful these days!!!

The roof top has great views, lake on one side and mountains on the other to watch the beautiful sunrise. Only few minutes walking to the lakeside, the room is very spacious, quiet and the cleanest I've found during my trip. All the staff is really nice and welcoming, they really make you feel like you're at home and they also helped to book all the activities, paragliding, transportation, laundry, etc. There's also a very lovely and friendly dog named Puku. A special thanks to the manager Dilu and Kriti, I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely go there if I'll go back to Pokhara!
