We’d give this property a 10/10 as it had everything that was described - it offered a clean kitchen, clean shared bathroom (always very clean), good WiFi, nice warm room, friendly staff and quiet location.
The property is also located not too far from the shuttles, bar, shop and restaurants.
We’d definitely come back here again.

Everything was fantastic, they were very kind and collaborative in changing both the days of stay and the date of the shuttle to Tongariro Crossing due to bad weather. Thank you so much for allowing us to make the changes and undertake the wonderful Crossing. Top structure

The kids loved the Secret room, but as it was so cold with little to no heating, we did not feel we could utelise it as it was freezing.
No staff onsite, terrible communication as no answer on phone nor emails returned. Unable to use wood burners, one welded shut and no wood available for second one in dining area. Spa pool out of order, ovens not working properly. Confusion around room we received and the room we actually booked, no bedding. It was freezing!!!
Bathrooms were very clean with enough hot water.
