Units are a bit dated. They need a freshening up. You pay a high price for the location which is good but the units good have been a lot nicer. Really comfy and roomy bed but we had to pay extra for this - overall worked out very expensive. Drive in entrance cracked and broken could be a problem if walking back to your room at night. Also parking area surface needs attention. We don't feel as if Suncourt put a lot of money into the upkeep of the property.
Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort is just 800 metres from Lake Taupo crater lake. It has a natural thermal spa and is only 5 minutes' drive from the Taupo town centre. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The hot pools were so much as always. Luckily we were travelling with family who had a spare room at their accomodation so we did not have to stay.
