The hotel and location were great! Great balcony overseeing a pretty town.. The day staff were excellent. The breakfast room was very basic and lacked character....felt like a conference room, no staff, very basic set tables But good adequate and nice breakfast options, pastries were really nice. We liked everything. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was delicious and of very good quality. We are looking forward to going back to the hotel.

The owners were really helpful and welcoming. The location and the property are excellent. It was nice to be able to buy some local produce from the owner. The kit hen was well-equipped. I wish we had stayed longer and had a wine tour. This is a great place from which to explore the region.

First of all: Elizabeth and Pedro are lovely people who make you feel part of the family. The Quinta is a peaceful place, good to relax, and to enjoy a book. We really enjoyed sharing the table for dinner and breakfast with other guests and also Elizabeth, Pedro and their daughters, Olga and Marta. One evening we were really impressed by Mozart on a piano; we thought it was a CD but then learned it was Olga playing there. Impressive. Bravo! Also, the Quinta is not far from Arcos de Valdevez city center. And if you want to visit/travel around, talk to Pedro; he will give you detailed directions, send you links to Google Maps and also print map details. I and Margarida loved the family. And lets not forget: Leve, their lovely dog.
