Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Went in early October and weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. Carvoeiro is a nice mix of buzz and good restaurants and pubs with a busy beach. Surrounding villages, beaches and cliff walks are stunning.
The best place we've stayed in at Carvaeiro and possibly Portugal. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with everything we wanted. They allowed us to check in early and also leave our baggage after checkout for later pickup. They had some great suggestions to do around the area as well.
The place is advertised in the images and description. The view out the balcony was great and everything in the house exuded a level of luxury, professionalism and thoughtfulness. The cleaning staff were also extremely nice and helpful!
Previous comments regarding this property mention 'the hill'. It's not too bad - we found it no problem. If you go to Carvoeiro, unless you're right in the centre, you're up a hill. They really aren't that bad and I'm 70+.
Every picture I've seen of the pool at Sentosa does not do it justice (except for the ones we have taken). We've stayed in many villas in Carvoeiro and this has been the best pool. When the sun is shining it looks very inviting.
Upgraded upon check-in. Very friendly staff, lovely room with a balcony (excellent toiletries!), very comfortable bed/pillows, beautiful cliffside location. We walked the short way into Carvoeiro for a boat ride from the beach (you won't regret doing this), then took the stunning cliffwalk back to the hotel. Lots of variety at breakfast and a beautiful terrace to enjoy it on. We didn't try the restaurants/bar at the hotel, but they looked good!
It was not only the best stay of our Portugal road trip, it was even one of the best stays of our entire traveling history. It's really rare to have the luck of finding a place like this, looking authentic, having amazing and passionate hosts, in an even more beautiful landscape. For us, this was an incredibly nice stay, absolutely worth the money. And after all, we only regret that we didn't stay for longer. We will most likely come back!
The location was great for me. Approximately 10 min walk from the town of Carvoeiro, in a secluded residential area at the top of the hill. Gorgeous room with pool and garden view. Loved the windows, the natural light, the terrace view (wow!), amazing healthy breakfast (wow!) and super nice hosts. Could not have asked for more. Be prepared for walking steep hills and enjoy the incredible hikes and beaches!!!
The apartment was huge , separate living room / kitchen area with small balcony , kitchen area well equipped with everying needed for cooking etc , spacious bedroom again with larger balcony loads of wardrobe space . TV in bedroom and living room . Toiletries replenished daily , plenty clean towels . Fab clean apartments , 10/15 minute stroll into carvoeiro centre so great location
Amazing deal! Villa Welwitshia is incredibly clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is also wonderful - a short walk to many great restaurants, Carvoeiro Beach, and Algar Seco which is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean, the free breakfast was nice, and the staff was incredibly accommodating to let us check out late as well.
The views of the cliffs and ocean from the hotel and room take your breath away. Breakfast buffet, food variety and made to order eggs were the best of our 4-week trip through Portugal and Italy. Bed and linens felt high quality. Excellent hotel amenities. Located near the center of Carvoeiro, near restaurants and hiking trails in both directions from the hotel.
Amazing place to relax and enjoy with your family!
The townhouses is very comfortable and spacious!
And have everything for short or long period stays!
The resort is very well maintained and has plenty things to do around and is located only a short drive from Carvoeiro beach, 5 min!
Definitely we’ll come back!
The villa was extremely well equipped, clean and modern with absolutely everything you need. You are about 2.3 km from Carvoeiro so you can relax in this beautiful country setting and enjoy the city close by. Carvoeiro is. A very alive town with entertainment and many restaurants. The staff was extremely kind.
The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water all the time and there is air con. It was about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Carvoeiro and the beach. A nice view from the outside seating and the wine, fruit etc was a nice welcome.
Very well placed villa within short walking distance of the beach and centre of Carvoeiro. Comfortable villa with plenty of space and facilities. Lovely communal pool area. Excellent continental breakfast delivered to our door every day. Very friendly staff.
It was a really nice hotel, very clean and felt very COVID safe. The rooms were very large and well decorated and the pool was beautiful! Good location in Carvoeiro, about a 20 minute walk from the beach and town centre with the restaurants etc.
A spacious villa for 8 with a pool table, table tennis and pool. Great location, 15 minute walk to Carvoeiro beach and centre. Loads of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Stayed very cool in the villa in April.
The best thing about this property was an incredible staff member on reception named Carla. Personable, competent, informed, a star. The type of staff member that excels at everything she does. She was absolute magic.
