The location of the hotel is amazing. Great view of the river and the surrounding vineyards and mountains. The restaurant with its patio is wonderful and has a wonderful view. The pool is not heated, But totally serves the purpose and has an excellent view. The rooms are Very small They functional. The AC is weak and Doesn’t work all too well. The staff is super nice.

The cuisine and service at the award winning Teracu restaurant on the property was simply amazing showcasing the best ingredients in a hearty but yet beautifully presented plates. Jorge, Francisca , Rafael, Maura and Alexandra were spontaneously warm and hospitable and made the Douro valley stay one of the most memorable highlights of our two and a half week trip to Portugal.
