Jorge, Francisca , Rafael, Maura and Alexandra were spontaneously warm and hospitable and made the Douro valley stay one of the most memorable highlights of our two and a half week trip to Portugal. It was out of season and the hotel was extremely quiet. It was just a one night stopover and the weather was appalling.
Staff were very helpful and breakfast just as we ordered.

The guest house was in a perfect location and was very stylish. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was ok. Parking was a huge bonus. Views from the house were wonderful. Its an easy walk to town for restaurants and boat trips.
Bruno has a vinyard and makes delicious wines. Definitely worth trying while relaxing in the lounge.
Highly recommend this guest house.

approx 100 people live there, bread, milk and food still gets delivered there daily.
access is limited to hills/cliff roads, tricky for you are not a good driver.
