Very pleasant converted, old granit farmhouse and courtyard. Exceedingly well done and very comfortable, clean and cared for. We were very well looked after by exceptionally pleasant people. The room and bathroom were very large and everything very nicely done. Breakfast contained a wide variety of dishes which were replenished when emptied.
It is also well positioned if you wanted to explore Guarda, a much underrated, very old city.

The location of this hotel is great. The views from the restaurant are amazing. The food is delicious, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. There was a lot of choice for breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were travelling by motorbike and whilst there was no attached parking we found a spot directly outside the hotel which was absolutely fine and safe. We would use this hotel again if in the area and would highly recommend it.

We throughly enjoyed our stay Mr. Joquim and his team made us very welcome and catered to our every need. Our room had a varanda with beautiful views over the countryside. It was a great place to relax after walking around the surrounding area. Guarda was a short walk away and the passadiços do Mondego a 20 minutr drive. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay surrouned by nature I would highly recommend booking this accommodation. The rooms are extremely clean and very comfortable..
A quirky hotel with split level communal areas that intertwine a ruined stone building. Great location in the historic town. Our room was very basic and slightly jaded, but that seemed to add to the overall ambiance. Despite being on the first floor we had a superb view of the sunrise across the surrounding countryside. We found it easy to park for free in the street just below the hotel.
This is a historic hotel built into the city walls near the cathedral. There is ample free parking in the area. The lady who served breakfast was very sweet and cheerful. There is an elevator. Sometimes. No one was at the front desk and you have to ring a bell for check in and check out. The price is very attractive. The room is basic but has all the required amenities.
Warm and enthusiastic welcome from hostess using practiced sign language. So this is what a real Portuguese manor house really looked and felt like! Luxury stay in the heart of old Guarda. Within walking distance of all the old city and its shops and restaurants. Across the street from the magnificent cathedral.
The lady who greeted us, showed us to our room and was present at breakfast was delightful! Had it not been for the dreadful weather, I feel sure we would have felt even more positive. The restaurant recommended - just opposte the hotel ("Nobre") was our bext dinner of the whole week .
The catering and cleaning staff are working exceptionally hard at this establishment to keep the visiting clientele happy and satisfied. This is a hotel with a lot of history and tradition, and seemingly mostly frequented by local people.
Large, clean, well-equipped apartment. Friendly host. Air conditioning throughout and parking out front. Shops, restaurants, and historical landmarks within walking distance. Everything you need for a comfortable.stay in Guarda!
Love EVERYTHING about this place. The beds are so comfortable, the fireplace is great and the breakfast is the best we’ve had in any hotel in the world. Amazing! Will come back in the summer to enjoy the pool
We loved our stay here, it's right in the centro of old town Guarda.. it's right next to the Se cathedral, the location is excellent! The hostess is very sweet and a pleasure to meet with.
Superb on every level. A great place to stop and has secure undergr ound parking for motorcycles. Ask for a room out the back of the hotel great views from the balcony window.
