Exactly as described. A big hotel that caters to a groups I think. The properly itself was very nice and the breakfast buffet had a lot of options. Only downside was a slightly musty smell (I think from the carpet and recent rains). IT is about 10 minutes from the main part of town but comfortable and easy parking.

History and Sandy Algarve Beaches
With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.
King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.
Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.
The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lovely marina area with plenty of restaurants, the Lighthouse bar on the marina is good for food and reasonable prices. Old town has a large and varied choice of bars and restaurants. Good supermarkets. Easy to get around Ubers are cheaper than taxis. Seems to be a rise in the number of beggars mainly in the old town. Plenty of sea excursions available such as fishing, dolphin spotting and visiting caves.

Lagos is a lot less touristy than some other surrounding towns. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town and the marina.
Lots of beaches to choose from. On one side you have the longest beach with holden sands. And on the other, lots of small beaches in between the cliffs. Some can only be reached by boat or kayak.
Top of the cliffs offer spectacular walks along the wooden paths offering breathtaking views.

Beautiful beaches and grottos.
Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming.
We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos was our favorite.

A friendly, small city that is welcoming for visitors. There is a great selection of restaurants and shops lining historic laneways and cobble stoned streets. Don't miss the grottos from the cliffs above from the sea by boat. They are spectacular.

Lagos is a very beautiful small city to visit, lots of attractions are around, which can be covered by max. 3 full days. I recommend the trip with 3 nights in the Lagos is enough, excluding golf, hiking or surfing requires.
I really liked that the property had several pools and was walking distance to the beach. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning as well. I was thankful we chose the rate with breakfast included.
The marina and old town Lagos were a very short drive from the property. We felt like the location was in the perfect spot.
Additionally, the hotel did a great job with preventative Covid Measures as well as had a Dr. that would come to the property to complete necessary Antigen tests for traveling back to Germany.
Perfect Lagos location right at Dona Ana beach. Beautiful ocean view, steps to beach. Friendly, very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Great restaurant for dinner with amazing sunset views. Huge balcony. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Spotless, clean room. Great rooftop pool. Easy walk to Lagos old city center. Walk to Ponta da Piedade. Free parking in public parking lot right outside hotel. Get a parking spot early morning or late afternoon and leave your car there during your stay.
Mr. Pedro is a wonderful and friendly host and was most accommodating. The neighborhood is in a quiet residential area. Parking was free. The breakfast which came with the plan was varied, plentiful, and delicious, with both hot and cold offerings. It's about a mile walk into the old town of Lagos. Driving around is easy and there are many free places to park just outside of the old town. The Supermercado SuperEureka grocery store is a three-block walk from the hotel.
The Dom Manuel I was ideally situated for a 10 minute walk into the old town. The hotel itself had a wonderful, olde world charm about it that made it special. The pool area was tranquil and beautiful. Everything was just so easy going. Best of all we’re the staff, in particular Jessica. She was so helpful, both before and during our stay. She helped with airport transfers, spa bookings and taxis. She couldn’t have been more pleasant. 5 stars from us.
Fairly basic hotel whose greatest benefit is its location in the heart of Lagos center, where you literally step out into the prime area of the town. The room was a decent size and included all the necessary amenities. It also faced a non-busy side street so the noise level was not very noticeable. Cleaning staff and reception were both very friendly.
Dana was so incredible kind and helpful! She was always available and keen to help and even allowed us to keep our luggage safe on the property after checkout before we left Lagos. The room was comfortable and the the location was super convenient. The rooftop patio was a great addition as well. Dana was the highlight though, she’s the best!!
The hotel was modern and bright. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good and they even let us in to have early breakfast on the day we were leaving.
Although the hotel is not on the beach the beautiful beach at Porto de Mos is very close and takes less than 10 minutes along a path to get to it.
Immaculately clean hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a wonderful balcony overlooking the marina. Lovely spacious bathroom too and heated pool up on the roof. Breakfast was delicious with the best cappuccinos I have ever had! Would definitely come back to this hotel. Staff were so friendly too.
All the staff were really lovely and helpful. Ernst recommended and booked us a nice restaurant for the evening. Breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely garden. The location was perfect for us as we wanted something just outside Lagos with parking nearby, and it was nice being on the beachfront.
The hotel is nicely decorated. Its warm but modern charm is really nice. The breakfast is great, you can choose from many great a la carte options and the staff is super friendly. The location is right across the marina and in walking distance of everything around Lagos. Definitely worth a stay.
Great place, clean large room, excellent breakfast with a large selection and very good coffee, smiley, helpful staff, Lagos with shops and restaurants arm length ,also restaurant on the beach you can see from hotel and bar in the hotel.. We had a great stay 😊
The views are lovely and the breakfast is amazing… both continental and several a la carte hot options. Best hotel breakfast ever! Not surprising as it is served from Michelin rated restaurant. The rooftop pool area is also very lovely.
Lovely hotel. Fantastic views of the marina off our private small patio. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean and nice. Rooftop pool and sitting area was awesome. Definitely stay here again
perfectly named it is the most charming hotel we saw in Lagos. absolutely beautiful. the staff were wonderful especially the kitchen staff. the buffet breakfast was amazing
Great location on the beach, room was good with small kitchen (fridge/freezer/stovetop). The pool and lawn area was nice to relax in to just read a book and sunbathe.
