The location and view are exceptional. A very comfortable cozy little place that made us feel we had gone back in time. We wanted to stay longer! The visit to the castle (within walking distance) was delightful! We highly recommend this accommodation and would book here again!

The location is absolutely fantastic. 1min walk from the Castle (do yourself a favour, go and visit it along with the museum, they are hidden gems) you can leave the car for free on the square in front of it.
The property has everything you need and feels cosy. Air con is not needed as even in the midst of the July heatwave the nights are chilly and leaving a gap in the window grants you a fresh night, which are noiseless.
Coffee pods for a free espresso are a plus (who said there is not such thing as free lunch?)
Also, the breakfast is superb.
The owner is a young man will help you with everything you need. Communication was easy and discreet on WhatsApp.

Amazing setting by the castello! Super cool and beautifully decorated, combining modern comforts and style with the old. The best breakfast waiting for us in the fridge and fresh bread being brought in the morning. Maria was super friendly and helpful.

The scenery is awesome, the village is a medieval castle surrounded by buildings from this epoch. Wow! It's perfect for those who want to have a time out or being a couple and enjoy a romantic time together. I also had no problems with my phone: good network and wifi in the house - also open wifi hotspot outside.
Hint: when your car is not that wide you pass the main gate and drive through the narrow main street up to the marketplace. There are public toilets, an ATM and the sign "Sortelha Artesanato". There you call the hosts. After 5-10min they come and show you your place.
