The hotel room was exceptionally clean and looked brand new. I was sick when we got to Nazare and the bed was so comfortable that I was able to sleep for 12+ hours. The balcony was a nice addition as well. The breakfast was basic but good. The shower was perfect and the room and bathroom were a good size. Public underground parking within walking distance of the hotel.

The view from our terrace was fabulous! We had an apartment, it was quite large and comfortable. The restaurant was superb, and we had dinner there for two nights. By the way, we stayed there 2 nights, not just one. I had made an error and had to book a single night twice.

Location was perfect. Extremely polite and helpful staff to the point of riding on the car with us to show us to the parking location and coming along to the laundromat to ensure all went right with the laundry.

Beautiful fishing village with real Portuguese flair.
Beautiful fishing village with real Portuguese flair. We have been there three times in the last 15 years. My wife's favorite and dream place. The city is slowly going through a transformation and is becoming more touristy, but we can't judge that hardly since we were always there before or after the season. On the weekends, we noticed a little negatively the many tourist buses that flooded the city for an afternoon.

Nazaré is beautiful.
Nazaré is beautiful. It's a great place to chill and watch the sea. The beach is wide and clean. All the restaurants and bars in the area (that we tried) were great. Shopkeepers were kind and helpful. Be sure to get up to the Lighthouse and check out the Surf Museum. Super cool. It's 2eu to get in and totally worth it. The views up there are awesome. Seriously, I have not one negative thing to say about it.

Nazare was wonderful. I wear accommodations were great.
Nazare was wonderful. I wear accommodations were great. Gil the manager was amazing with us. In fact my friend left her coat in the closet. When they cleaned the room he found it and sent me messages and mailed it to a spot where we could pick it up. That was amazing.
The apartment was adorable It was perfect for our purposes the view from one bedroom of the ocean was amazing. The view off the kitchen balcony was great and we could see the ocean as well. This is a perfect apartment for two people sometimes for.
I would certainly book that again if I were to be in that area. Thank you

Quaint little town with local vibes, great for a few days visit. It was very chilled and quiet and surrounded by beautiful forest. Cuisine is mainly fish and seafood, though there are plenty of Italian and meat places. Also choc a block with gelaterias!!! We caught Carnaval and it was fun to see the cavalcade and the locals dressed up.

What I liked best was seeing the big wave surf contest.
What I liked best was seeing the big wave surf contest. There were these amazing and huge 20-50 ft waves that arrived in sets located near the lighthouse on the cliff at the North Beach while I was in Nazare. The beach was also very nice and wide both north and south of the lighthouse. The sunsets were spectacular, and I enjoyed watching the sun set while drinking wine and people watching at the little beachside restaurants. I also enjoyed walking down south to the marina and going north to the surf museum at the lighthouse on the big cliff in the town of Sitio. The local bus only cost €1.50 to ride from Nazare (near the central market) to Sitio where the lighthouse is located. The traditional food (seafood) was really fresh and I liked that the tradition of fish drying that is done by the fish ladies was still being practiced.

Great beach but the real action is on the hill in Sitio...
Great beach but the real action is on the hill in Sitio where there are the great surf waves to be seen in the winter months and the very impressive display of surf boards and photos of the guys who've surfed the world's biggest waves in Nazare,
This appartment had 8 of us there. 3 young children and 5 adults. It's was perfect for us. So much storage space, good size bedrooms and two bathrooms. Having beach chairs and a beach umbrella at the property was a bonus the location was perfect and we all had the best time. Close to the beach, coffee shops, the spar. Nazare is a great location for anyone and everyone to enjoy. The appartment exceeded our expectations, much bigger than the photos, perfectly clean and well stocked with everything you could need.
Antonio and his wife were awesome. There was a lot of rain and the arrival time got delayed for us. When we arrived our GPS took us a few blocks away from the apartment. Antonio helped us navigate to his place. They showed us everything we needed to know and had a bottle of wine and some muffins on the table waiting for us. It was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. While we were only in Nazare for a day, we did check out some sights and it is worth a stop when in Portugal.
The location is right across the road from the beach. Our room had a small balcony with views to the beach and the hills. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, and the breakfast the next morning was outstanding - better than anything we have ever experienced in any hotel in the US. While parking anywhere in Nazare is difficult, we were able to park in an underground parking facility at another hotel within 5-10 minutes walk.
Great location so close to the beach, very clean, surprisingly quiet, comfy and cozy. Great to have 2 bathrooms for 4 people. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes/pans/utensils. You check in at Oceano Hotel and it’s the building next door. You go in and upstairs immediately to the first landing which has a bathroom and kitchen, then up another flight to the bedrooms and another bathroom. Nazare is easy to get around.
The hotel is very close to the Nazare Sourthern beach, just near a convenience store and across the street from the Nazare mercado. The room was big and we appreciated the generous balcony with a view of the ocean. The breakfast was very diverse. The hotel also has a roof top pool, with an ocean view terrace where we have witnessed a breathtaking sunset during one of the evenings spent there.
This is a lovely apartment in a great part of Nazare. Easy walk to north beach and the light house to see the waves, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. It is close to the top of the funicular (which was closed for renovations during our stay). Easy walk down to the town and main beach. Steep walk back, so if the funicular is closed, get a taxi - best €5 you will spend!
Exceptionally comfortable and clean hotel with airy spacious rooms. Staff were fabulous and maintained a lovely relaxed environment. The staff who managed breakfast were particularly lovely and did a super job. Pool was a real bonus as nearest Nazaré beach not best for swimming. It was a perfect location for our family's 4 day stay in Nazaré.
The bathroom. Finally. We spent a week in Portugal, in a few places, and this room finally had a reasonable sized bathroom, with a spacious shower.
The overall cleanliness was fine , the quality of furnishing is absolutely okay.
Our room had a little balcony, which is comfy to have.
A hotel of exceptional charm, run by an owner and an extraordinary family. An incredible welcome and kindness. Everything is perfect. All, full center of Nazaré! Can’t wait to stay in this place again. The place to go, the place to sleep for your trip in Nazaré!
The hotel was modern, very clean and centrally located. Parking is tough in the charming village but the owner assisted us with parking our car in a private lot. He was very helpful and gave us excellent food recommendations and told us a lot about Nazare.
The host is amazing! We felt like home. Beautiful with a very authentic flavour of Portugal living, so comfortable in all the possible ways, we've got presents from the host and great tips. Perfectly clean and warm. The best accommodation ever!
So close to the beach!
Very quiet but close to local eateries.
We did the walk up to Sitio Nazare . Beautiful town with the Fort and the magnificent north beach of the best surfing waves in Europe....
Great food at Rosa dos Ventos restaurant.
+ great, great location - 200m to the beach, plenty of restaurants but still a quiet place
+ large rooms with balcony
+ good breakfasts (in many hotels in Portugal they do not serve breakfast during COVID restrictions)
Nazaré is a must see in Portugal and Vila Farol was delightful. The property was spotless and Christiano was a great host. His pride of workmanship is evident everywhere. Thank you! we will return!
My first stop in Portugal so was not used to the narrow streets, decided on rental car due to leg injury and was able to find a parking space 4 blocks away near the supermarket (which was great).
Hotel is on the best place near the beach, very clean rooms are good size, comfortable beds, staff very friendly
Hetel has good restaurant and offers 10 % discount for their hosts
The best location in Nazare, not too close to busy areas, there is a beach bar just the corner, pasteleria right downstairs. It had a great big bathroom.
