Simple equipment, but sufficient. Very clean and tidy, exceptionally attentive landlord who responds promptly to inquiries. Located in a quiet residential area and close (1 km) to Palmela train station. Travel time to Lisbon by train approx. 50 min. There are plenty of grocery stores and parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

Great bed and bedding. We had one dinner there, it was good but not exceptional, breakfasts were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the beautiful sitting area. Enjoyed exploring the castle right there but walking into Palmela very steep so we did not explore the town much. We explored the nature estuary near Setabul and did some birdwatching.

The whole complex is faded glory, the golf course is...
The whole complex is faded glory, the golf course is overgrown with grass and weeds. The area around the apartments is poorly maintained with dried out plants because the irrigation system no longer works. Outside around the apartments it is a mess with crumple and dog poop in front of the door. It is clean in the apartments themselves, but many things do not seem to work or are incomplete (jamming doors, broken tap, inventory incomplete, shower water does not drain). In short, a very disappointing accommodation for a hefty price).

Very good, quiet restaurant in patio with very friendly personnel. One can walk on the walls of the castle also in the evening, visit the castle church in the morning, and go down to the small beautiful village Palmela for a walk. Ideal for a relaxing stopover when arriving in the afternoon at Lisbon airport and heading for the South. Parking no problem
