This hotel is gorgeous. The perfect mix between historic and modern. We stayed in an old stable converted barn and the room was amazing and spacious! Staff are so friendly and even made us a welcome hamper as we arrive late. George have us a tour of the grounds and the old wine cellar which was very cool to see back to the 1600s aspects of the property. The breakfast was also wonderful. We can’t wait to come back again soon - hopefully when the weather is better so we can enjoy the pool too! Thanks for a great stay :)

Most magical place located in a vineyard in a small village North of Porto. We stayed for one night and loved it so much that we simply shopped for tapas in the supermarket near by to enjoy the property even more instead of going to a restaurant for dinner. Perfect for a couple's getaway, or a small group of friends that wants to relax and reconnect like us.

Guest house was a lovely oasis in downtown Ponte De Lima, mere steps off the Camino. The hostess allowed me to check in early to take a much needed nap. The free washing machine was an added bonus. Free coffee in the morning was a lovely way to start the day.

Ponte de Lima is a perfect place for a pilgrim on the Camino to take a rest day. Perfect place to get your laundry done properly, catch up with your sleep. Lots of nice restaurants to eat in. Many interesting alleys to walk through and enough sights to take in a day.

Ponte de Lima is a remarkably well-preserved, historically important village in Northern Portugal. It has been a crossroads for centuries. Probably for a Druids-like culture, definitely for the Romans, for hundreds of thousands of pilgrims walking the historic Camino (Caminho in Portuguese), as well as for people traveling east-to-west from the mountains to the Atlantic. Today, Ponte de Lima continues to be an important crossroads as well as gathering space for walking & hiking, cyclists, various forms of boating (with a champion training center along the Rio Lima), horse riding, international gardening and more. It's hard to fully explain how much cultural importance there is in Ponte de Lima for the Minho (region), Portugal (as a country), and, indeed, all of Europe in such a small village. Well worth visiting. I spent three weeks there, fell in love with the village, and like it so much that I intend to move there.

My wife and I have been visiting Ponte de Lima for 30 years.
My wife and I have been visiting Ponte de Lima for 30 years. It has changed and become much busier over the years. However, it has managed to retain its friendly low key ambience. It is still possible to recognise the town of years ago despite the changes. A truly lovely place.

Ponte de Lima is a historic town, with a medieval and a Roman bridge across the Lima. Fascinating. We stayed there overnight as part of a Minho cycling trip (self-arranged). Had a lovely supper at the Restaurante Encanada.

I arrived very early to check in but the wonderful lady at reception made me feel very welcome while I waited. Every member of the staff who we encountered were welcoming and smiling always. The room was very nice, very comfortable beds and a delightful balcony. We took advantage of the spa and had a pilgrims massage. Anna in the spa was Fantastic! Our breakfast was very nice, many excellent options. And the location is perfect. Near the old city and the Roman Bridge. A perfect place for El Camino pilgrims.

The owner, who also designed the property was very welcoming and the place is a short drive from major attractions in north Portugal. Definitely the property has a lot a character, is authentic in maintaining its original appeal with all the new amenities that are available there and everything is curated to detail. One of the best places to relax and enjoy slow country life away from modern life.

Francisco (The owner) himself gave us a private tour sharing his family legacy and fascinating history of great wineries. The hotel had a very authentic, warm and yet top notch design. Beautiful view from the room. We really enjoyed. It is over the river from ponte De Lima. We walked 30 mins in and took a cheap taxi back. Recommend this accomodation 100% :)

The house is gorgeous and spacious. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms and a bedroom downstairs where you would have to go upstairs to use the bathroom. The induction cooktop is a plus. The host was responsive, kind, and helpful. I would recommend it to others.
