Loved the city, although be prepared for a lot of steep climbs. An e-bike tour is the perfect way to start your trip as you see the main sites in one 3 hour ride and can decide on what to revisit. Food is varied and there are an abundance of cafes and restaurants and it's so easy for an English speaker. There are the Porto must-dos of a tram ride to Foz, a port tasting tour and a visit to Livrarian Lello, an inspiration for part of Hogwarts. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly

    A lovely lively city.

A lovely lively city. Loved the riverside quay with its many eateries ; the walk on the bridge at both levels ; the San Bento railway station, the ornate bookshop (Livraria Lello); river cruise (take one where they share the history), some lovely churches , wine tours are a must ...walk around the city... Ubers are relatively low cost so you can hop in and out easily if you don't want to walk.

An amazing and massive beautiful city, endless streets of shops and culture. The Port area is fabulous and a boat trip along the River Douro is a must. Just watch your belongings, I had my phone stolen from my bag!! The port area is expensive but up along the streets prices are very cheap to eat and drink. The indoor market near Santa Caterina street is a must, this is the main shopping area.

The location obviously. The Lonely Planet Porto walk runs right by/through the property. 3 of Trip Advisor’s top 10 restaurants are within a 1 minute—yes that’s right— walk and 5 more within 10 minutes. The Casas are small apartment units with oven, cooktop, microwave, hot water kettle etc, approx 70 sq m. Best wifi we’ve found in Portugal. The managers provide a de facto concierge service (including stocking the fridge) and are fantastically personable and efficient. A great, great find

Wonderfull would be not enough to say! Utopian hotel was a last step of my travel in Portugal. The room was amazing, colorful, very clean and cozy, the large bathroom, coffee corner and many more. I basically did not want to leave! Location! I would like to mention the kindness of Sandra, she was looking after her guests and was always present for any questions we might have, people like her are truly gem for the Company! Thank you for everything, I will be back for sure.

We had a room with a small terrace which was lovely after a busy day sightseeing. The beds were very comfortable and had adequate pillows. The breakfast was just fabulous - the best we had in Portugal. Staff very exceedingly helpful with information and assistance. We arrived in the afternoon but didn't want to drive rental car in Porto. Parking was available & staff offered to drive us downtown that afternoon so we could get a jump on sightseeing.

This property has only been open since may and is very new, stylish and comfortable. The breakfast included with the room rate is excellent with made to order food choices and coffee options. Staff in both the hotel and restaurant are excellent and very helpful with any information you need or issues that may arise. We vacationed in various parts of Portugal for 21 days and the Prime & Proper was our favourite place to stay!

Friendly staff, great location to stroll around the city center, offers a lot of services (restaurant, leaving luggage at a hotel desk). Despite the generally high humidity level in Portugal in winter, the room in Yotel was very warm and dry. Keep in mind that the shower/toilet are not located in a separate room, but separated from the bedroom by a frosted glass shield. Not a problem for us, but good to know.

Best hotel during our entire trip across Portugal! Staff were friendly. Location is gold. Facilities are great (would be better to have more mirrors as the one in the room is a reflexive window from the bathroom), love all the inside jokes to entertain guests from all the stuff displayed in the room. Basically staying here is another one unique experience on its own.
