Fatima and Lois were excellent hosts. Happy to give tips on what to see in the area. They invited us to sit with them and were happy to chat. Making us feel at home., making refreshments and tea and coffee available. Close to town. Room was well appointed. They were even kind enough to arrange for our washing to be done. We felt like we were at home.

Nuno, Ana Lucia, Zhana and the chef Ruy Pero will do everything in trying to please your minor needs and wishes, including an afternoon snack which never were in their menu!
Received by Nuno with a glass of truly iced beer, on the house was the best reception we had in a very long time.
Silence and tranquility all in the same place.
We surely recommend to all.
Prices are a little high, but It was worthed.

The location of the hotel is good, being central to most main areas of Pombal. The hotel's close proximity to the railway station is very useful, but the sound of the continually passing trains might prevent lighter sleepers from gaining a solid night's sleep.
The bedroom was spacious, with a small (uncovered) balcony, which we were unable to use, sadly, because it rained almost all the time we stayed in Pombal. There was adequate storage space for clothes and other items.
The bathroom was a little cramped, with the door creating an obstruction once one was inside. However, the shower was fine. We had a bath with a shower at one end, which can be difficult, but the shower end was fully protected by tiled walls, making it almost like a cubicle, while the rest of the open bath space was covered by a thick, resilient shower-curtain, which was the best of its type we have ever experienced in a hotel.
Breakfast was adequate and plentiful (mainly cold buffet food), apart from running out of tea on our final morning (see below).
The photograph of the front of the hotel on Booking.com does not do it justice. Inside things look a lot brighter and cleaner. The use of tiles throughout almost all of the hotel, including many walls and floors, provides a clean, fresh and very 'new' look.

No swimming pool for my daughters, one have 2 years and 11 months, she is going to be 3 on September 14 th and no chance to enjoy with her. Check- in took too much time. 2 persons on reception cannot manage us, and one more guests , bonus printer not working . We cannot stay 2 nights what we have booked before because of urgent flight of my husband. I asked for a late check-out for half price of the room, answer was no, not because it is not possible, only because no one care. Room, balcony door are almost broken, toilet top broken as well, turn curtains and no drain at the shower in the room 118. Unfortunately, I have no idea how this hotel can hold 4 stars still, I think there are certain authority is sleeping. And no recognition of my birthday, maybe I have too many expectations. And the last thing is a swimming pool which is not including on the rate of the room and have funny discount for the guest in house.
