Booked it for one night, as I had an appointment in the city - impressed with the location and cleanliness. It has everything you need. I was there with my small daughter and the place was ideal for us.

Superb location and friendly staff who made sure to accommodate special requests since the very beginning. The room was quite simple, but exactly how it looks at the pictures; minor maintenance needed. Bed was surprisingly more comfortable than it appeared to be. Good Wi-Fi connection too. Breakfast served in the coffee area downstairs, with a wide variety of pastry. Overall, a good value for money - you get what you pay - and definitely a good fit for a night or two!
Set 9.1 km from Natur Waterpark, Quinta da Corujeira offers accommodation with a patio, as well as an infinity pool and a garden. The property has pool and garden views, and is 18 km from Douro...

Beautiful place with the best view. The room was big enough, with beautiful bathroom and also bathtub in the room. The bed was very comfortable and again with a fantastic view. There is also a little terrace where you can just sit and sip your glass of wine while enjoying the view of the mountains. Every morning we had a fantastic breakfast with everything you can think of (sweet pastry and cakes, eggs, cheese, hams, fruit, yougurts, bread....). Bruno, the host, is very nice and very helpful. He also recommended us places around which we could visit.
We would definitely recommend this accomodation and would love to come back again.

The location was the best but you cannot go for walks - the location is best for visiting Mateus. It is outside the town.
The dining room has classical interior but what spoils it is a large tv screen blaring out programmes like in a motorway restaiurant

Breakfast was lovely!
Breakfast was lovely! All locally produced foods, eggs cheese and bread! Fresh orange juice! We had no tv in our room ( some rooms do have tv’s) but this wasn’t a big deal! Would have appreciated another mirror-in the main bedroom as the the bathroom had the only one but again we managed. I had my tablet so accessed everything I needed on that. The honesty shop sold wine beer bread and snacks at vey reasonable prices! Ginas restaurant down the road was great and very cheap

Vila Real is at the top of the mountains in the Douro Region. It has extremely beautiful views, the city is nice and it has a lot of nature around it. You have many restaurants with typical food that are cheap. If you like eating, wine and mountains it's a perfect stay.

Other than a nice central church (Sé) and half a dozen historical buildings which can be seen in a couple of hours, Vila Real is one of the least interesting cities in Portugal, with a very ugly and disordinate built environment. Most buildings from the 70's and 80's with poor design.
The 'must see' item is by far the Palácio MATEUS on the outskirts of the city (in Mateus on the South entrance to Vila Real), an architectural masterpiece and an iconic place full of history and a beatiful setting.

One of Portugal's nicest regions, close to the fantastic Douro Valley and thus to lots of interesting wineries, but also far enough away from that valley so as to have good road connections (the Douro Valley is all winding secondary or tertiary roads, and it takes forever to drive any given distance). Finally, super-close to the charming Mateus Palace.
Firstly, if you are going to the Douro Valley, stop in Vila Real. You’ll never regret it because of its outstanding view from the apartment and the sunset you can meet from its balcony.
Secondly, it was the fastest communication with the owner. We sent a small review in the morning (we didn’t find a hairdryer), and in 15 minutes, we got what we asked.
And thirdly - The apartment is very comfortable, beds, sofa, kitchen, everything is equipped.
Sometimes a simpler place can be more worthy than some other more upmarket locations. Clássico is an honest hotel that delivers a very good price/value ration. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, a clean and more than able bathroom, good breakfast and, as important as other things, a very friendly reception and a excellent effort from all the staff to make a guest feel like at home. This business deserves to be recommended to everyone.
Great hotel!
Friendly staff
Beautiful relaxing facility.
Great place to take a vacation break or base your Douro stay.
Dining on site was nice
Sparkling outdoor pool with nice loungers.
Spa for very low add on price has sauna, steam & indoor pool that overlooks the outdoor green space.
Comfy well designed common areas too
Free parking is easy, its dedicated to hotel.
Highly recommend!
I'd love to stay here again .
The estate is really nice and well cared. We liked a lot the super personal breakfast and the effort from the hotel to stay sustainable. We also got nice help to find the estate and the amount of detail put in the guest information is great (especially the nice drawings provided). The room was large and confortable.
All the positive opinions about this house are justified: perfect location in the heart of Vila Real.
Absolutely spotless and clean.
Close to the bus station, hospital, police and supermarkets and restaurants.
A house where you want to stay and return in future visits to Vila Real
Hotel was clean and staff seemed very friendly. The bed was very comfortable and location was good BUT to get into town the walk is all uphill. Easy come back though! There is also a car park for anyone brining their car. TV has LOTS of channels!
Family member was in hospital in Vila Real so it was handy for that and near to restaurants bars and shops with spectacular scenery at the rear.
All staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast was very good with good choice.
Lovely staff, very good location. Do not expect luxery, but you’ll get a good bed and a decent bathroom for a low price.
There is free parking on the street and a supermarket and restaurants are just next to the hotel!
The staff was really kind and respectful but the room was not so good. It was too small there were some shortages which are necessary for any hotel. For example there was no hand-washing liquid, no sandals etc.
Located close to the center of Vila Real, provides easy access to the city, shopping center and the Corgo river. The staff was nice, and provided easy parking to all guests.
