It is a nice place, with an interesting architecture, lots of swimming pools and water tubes. It connects with Caciulata (you could say they are almost one city and not two). I would recommend it for thermal water, swimming pools, ferryboat on Olt river. I wouldn't recommend it for the heavy traffic periods, whidh is wasting some of your time. You have to wake up early, if you want to make sure your day is well spent and you're not staying in traffic.Alex-N-VRomania - 10Scored 10

A cozy small resort in a very beautiful place. To make full use of it (drink mineral water, visit different pools, explore the nature around, etc), you'll definitely need more than a week. Having a car would help significantly.

Very bad organisation take more than one hour to get the procedure for accommodation ,over one hour I get the key from room, staff from reception bin very rude ignored bin speak with my and in the same time on the phone. I booked accommodation at hotel Cozia and they give me room on hotel Caciulata.Im very disappointed. Many thanks M.Grapa

We wanted to try out the the thermal baths on the way back...
We wanted to try out the the thermal baths on the way back to Bucharest which was an experience. Unfortunately these thermal baths are always linked to banal hotel chains. So it is better to find a room in the many guesthouses around. A lot lays around that one main lane and the restaurant we chose didn't have good cuisine. So otherwise it is not a very authentic village. I was there too short but I think the place is interesting for hiking in nature.mariekeBelgium - 8.0Scored 8.0

The place its well know for the thermal water sources which are recommended in different affection,unfortunately the area didn't develop much after the revolution.Very limit choices for eating in the area,maybe cos we went out of season. The staff was helpfull and friendly. Very good value for money as for the price of our stay there was included the entry to the SPA. Breakfast was buffet style with clasical choices like ommlet, sausages and few cold dishes. The SPA facilities (3 saunas, 2 jacuzzi, one pool) were nice and carefully attended for. You can rent a bathrobe for the SPA from the reception at a convenient price (10RON / day).

The room (with balcony) are nice and clean - with a good bed and everytime warm. Food in the own restaurant is very good - not pricy and the service is very friendly and welcoming. The highlight is the outside thermal heated pool which is ideal to relax over the day and evening. If you need to buy some food or drinks - a supermarket is 3min walk distance away... best place in this town!

For that purpose it had a great location for us. Hotel looks like it's been renovated or built recently, all facilities are new and fresh. If you choose to stay in this hotel then definitely try their breakfast and especially - Romanian breakfast. It's also quiet since it's not on the main street. I was always on the run and being able to prepare some food quickly was a life saver. If you don't have a car it's the best possible option.
