Pleasant city for walks.
Pleasant city for walks.
Went with the family at the end of april and the weather was gorgeous.
We saw:
- The zoo (6/10) - very big and lots of potential, but some animals were not kept well at all which made me very sad.
- The small othodox cathedral, Buna Vestire - very beautiful paintings(10/10)
- The big orthodox cathedral, Inaltarea Domnului - also beautiful (9/10)
- Târgu Mureș Fortress - free entry and very beautiful park inside, must see! (9/10) The local beer garden is a nice spot but the staff and serving were rude and ignored us, so I would avoid choosing that one and try a terase in the city center.
- The Palace of Culture - beautiful exterior but we found it closed
- Lots of museums to visit which looked appealing but were also closed due to bank holiday
- Bumbed into a local band free concert in the park (7/10)

The city is nice, the people are nice.
The city is nice, the people are nice. But mainly in the center. We found it to be less attractive than we expected. Pretty much all tourist attractions are grouped in the center.
There is a major lack of information regarding public transportation in the city and surroundings. Stops don’t have any posted names, hard to guess where are the stops except for the very central ones. Hard to find convenience stores.
People are willing to help but they are offering conflicting information.
In conclusion, the city/mayor gives the impression that they do not want/like tourists.
Restaurants we ate at were all fine. We had traditional local food, Italian, international at different places.
Hard to get around without own car, particularly for longer distances.
Very outdated and confusing/misleading information online.

I grew up here and haven't visited for two years and the general feeling I got was that it was a bit unkept. New cafes have opened with good coffee on offer. The city though feels clogged with cars and if I didn't have family to come to, I would not visit the it at all.

You can visit it for one or two days.
You can visit it for one or two days. There are some museums, yet they are under renovation and closed. The citadel is worth a visit, and you will find a doll museum inside of it. With more than 400 dolls. There is an excellent international guitar festival in August, worth-attending. So you can plan your visit accordingly. There are a couple of beautiful cathedrals, too.

Lovely city in Romania with a lot to see and to do.
Lovely city in Romania with a lot to see and to do. From an old Citadel, to big Universities (Medical) to a great Park Area with Zoo (in the Forest up on the hill :) ), to pools for the summer time, promenade along the Mures river, Great architecture, lots of places to eat, dine, just have a coffee, malls etc.
Don't forget about museums also and flea market in weekends :)
The staff of this hotel were really nice and welcoming, helpful in every way. My room was spacious with a large bathroom and plenty of space to store my belongings. The room was quiet and even had a balcony. They do not have a breakfast buffet but you get a menu to choose what you would like to have for breakfast. Be prepared that the breakfast staff might not speak English but there is always a way to make yourself understood. The city centre of Targu Mures is a 10-15 minute walk away.
Beautiful, newly renovated boutique hotel. Starting with the entrance through a gorgeous garden, updated natural decor at the entrance door and staircase, super friendly reception staff, very original room shape and setting, it culminated with a huge and luxurious balcony facing the garden. The room was fairly large, well furnished and decorated, all new, clean and comfortable.
Great quality breakfast and friendly staff in the dining room.
My recent stay at this hotel was fantastic. The breakfast was not only delicious but offered a wide variety of options that catered to different tastes. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean and had a visually appealing decor. As for the location, it couldn't have been more convenient, right in the heart of the city. I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay.
A grade of 10 is too low for this hotel. The communication with the hotel before the arrival was very good. The atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly and making an effort to help. The modern design that is kept very clean, and the breakfast.. this is phenomenal! . I loved every bit of our stay and I wish I could stay more in this hotel
The parking space is more than generous, the hotel is brand new, good breakfast and the bedrooms have a back view with a balcony which ensures privacy but above all more silence during the night so that you could sleep well, undisturbed by traffic. Large and clean rooms. Great value for money.
The building is beautiful, top quality finish and design.
Small number of rooms so it is not overcrowded.
Close to the main square of the city, reachable by walking less than 10 minutes.
The quality of bed and duvet are exceptional, one of the best I've had in hotels.
The hotel is super clean and I was very well treated by the owner and the people downstairs at the restaurant. Everyone was extremely courteous and happy to help. The room is spotless clean and all the amenities are just what you need to rest well! Super recommend it!
This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. The room was excellent and we enjoyed getting a chance to relax in the spa at the end of the day. The staff were lovely and the general atmosphere of the hotel is nice. The views you get over the city are beautiful.
Amazing hotel, with beautiful city view, close to shops and restaurants. Clean & spacious rooms, with friendly staff. Parking space available in the courtyard, I made a reservation before
This hotel, which is a little away from the center of Targu Mures, is very new and its facilities are very modern. The room is big, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent.
Excellent location, big sized room, very clean, very comfortable bed, powerful shower, everything you'd expect from a Plaza hotel. Breakfast was excellent as well.
Hotel is very cozy and clean, staff is really nice. The room is so comfortable, all amenities at hand. You also have fruits in the room and very good breakfast.
A well-maintained hotel. Generous and clean rooms. Large beds provide you with a restful sleep. Benevolent, professional staff. Good breakfast and dinner.
