This was a modern hotel, opened a couple of years ago, but decorated with ornate gold furniture and fittings redolent of the Marie Antoinette era. On our arrival we were greeted with a plate of Macarons and a large bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket. That type of gesture always makes a good impression. The staff were courteous, polite, friendly and efficient. The room was clean, large and well appointed. However it was a bit too narrow for the huge bed. There were two enormous armchairs and hotel maintenance staff quickly arrived to move them to where we wanted them. The laundry service was excellent.
The restaurant delivered good food in a very professional manner. The open air rooftop restaurant offered views across the city. There was a street of quirky tourist restaurants, in what is called the Bohemian Quarter, about ten minutes walk away
The hotel is located approximately twenty minutes walk from the city centre.
