The sightseeing was excellent. I could see the castle. The breakfast was fair. Their food (dinner) is highly recommended. I choose fish soup, and while it was not a typical fish soup, I enjoyed it. Their pasta and dessert (chocolate soufle) was bettter than usual too.
The real advantage of the place was the staff, their kindness and the fact that they are speaking Hungarian
I would also like to highlight the quality (especially the width) of the 3rd bed in the room

The property is in the heart of the town on the main arterial road. Apparently, it has been recently renovated. Everything seemed very well designed and stylishly decorated. The room (single bed) was small but functional. The bed was very soft, which I appreciate. The bathroom was nicely decorated and spotless. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was either buffet or ala-carte based on the number of guests, and had the standard options. I didn't get chance to take advantage of the wellness. To summarize, I'd stay here again for sure.

Fiĺakovo was just the end of my hiking one day, and as part of it, I walked just a little around the city center. As such, I didn't visit the castle and many other places (there are especially a lot of museums). I was however in the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and the Franciscan Monastery. The town park has a very rich flora with description of the species, as well as a little zoo. The town is not that big but there is several historical features which is worth seeing, a whole day will be needed instead of the 40 minutes I've had.
