Stayed 2 nights at Hotelday Sun Moon Lake. The hotel is strategically located next to Sun Moon Lake and it is opposite the Wenwu Temple. The round the island public bus stop is also in front of the hotel makes it a very convenient place to stay.
The hotel design is a mixture of modern contemporary and Chinese influences. Very cozy and comfortable.
They provide breakfast and "supper" for most of the rate plan, however the "supper" has a very limited variety and it is only open from 8.30pm onwards.
The room was cleverly designed, with the shower and WC separated and the vanity was located outside.
My room was located at level 2, though there was a balcony but there was no view, blocked by all the trees. If you prefer to have room with view over the lake, you have to book higher floor otherwise it is as good as not having a balcony.
There is a roof top bar on level 7. The view was amazing, minimum spend per person is required.
Generally, it was a pleasant stay.

Good location near the wharf and shops/restaurants. Very modern. Great views of the lake from the balcony and bath. It is unstaffed but the instructions were clear and the management were responsive on email.
