Imagine being able to just leave your phone and cash by the beach to go for a swim without fear of them being stolen. As a woman, never have I ever felt so safe and respected by men. The staff were very helpful and kind to every encounter. We had a delay at the airport and flight issues, but the staff were so patient and reassuring. They assisted us in getting food in the middle of the night. We really enjoyed the stay and felt very welcomed. I highly recommend the place.

During my last trip to Zanzibar, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming Clove Island Hotel, a true gem located in the picturesque village of Makunduchi. The cleanliness in my room was of the highest standard. Everything was fresh and immaculately clean, making me feel very comfortable. The hotel's location was also very advantageous - it is situated a short distance from the popular towns of Paje and Jambiani, which made it easy to explore local attractions.

It is a very quiet place to stay in. Excellent location, by the Jambiani beach. Staff pay attention to every little detail. The manager and his team take good care of you. You are not a room number, you are "guest"! The room is super clean. I wish I had stayed longer or at least finished my Zanzibari trip there. It was a top choice!

The view of the ocean from the room was great. It truly is a place you can go to get away and unwind.We liked the manager, Francisco's immediate response to rectify our concerns after the power outage due to a generator issue. He immediately was able to rectify the issue and comped our first night dinner and gave us a room upgrade for the trouble. The restaurant where very friendly and pleased.
