Beautiful place, the grounds amazing, closed to the beach
Beautiful beach. Well maintained bathrooms. There are not many options for food on the waterfront - you have to go to Main Street for most choices. Breakfast especially wasn't so easy to find on the boardwalk. Next time I'd bring breakfast food with me.
Free, but limited parking, but beach entry is $10 per person.

This place is good for a short vacation for a couple.
This place is good for a short vacation for a couple. If you have kids, and in need of space, this won't be the place to choose. We might return, as the location is fantastic, but the hotel needs more upgrades. A few things like a hair blow dryer, paper napkins, coffee, all of it is not available upon request. Be prepared with these items to be packed along with the clothes. And pack light, as there no room to store it.

There was nothing inviting about this place for being right across from the beach. No decor whatsoever, no cozy feel. Looked run down and I didn't feel safe. I originally booked a two bed but my daughter canceled because of her work so I asked for a single thinking I was going to get the difference in price back and they said they couldn't do that. I'm in customer service and I would of absolutely accommodated my request. I will definitely not stay here ever I will do hotel or Airbnb

A good place to stay off-season.
A good place to stay off-season. Belmar is a "real" town on the Jersey shore, unlike many of the others that cater for summer visitors only. An adequate number of pubs and restaurants (including for seafood), a train station, liquor store, pharmacy, grocery store etc. Easy access to Spring Lake along the boardwalk and close to Asbury Park.

The beach front location was the deciding factor in choosing our accommodation. There are other highly rated properties in the area.
There is a lot of free on street parking.
The Boardwalk connects to the two adjacent towns and makes for a very easy walk.
There is a very good choice of restaurants within a twenty minute walk of the beach . Most of these are close to or fronting onto the Shark River and it’s marinas. Good coffee shops, bars and a micro brewery all add to the holiday experience.
The hotel offers lovely common areas, a sunroom everyone should experience and a leisurely charm missing from travel. there are few other places with beachfront property. The room is modest, but cute, more in a European tradition than our glitzier but redundant motel rooms.
Beautiful and immaculate inn that feels like home in a fantastic location. Very friendly and helpful hosts with excellent breakfasts. I highly recommend this inn and will return. You can walk to the beach as well as walk to all the great restaurants in Belmar!
The Belmar Inn is a no frills place to stay within a block away from the beach. The rooms where clean and comfortable. The staff where friendly and made you feel at home. I would recommend it if you want a nice place to crash in between outings in area.
Breakfast was great. Fresh baked pastries and muffins every day. Nice and easy 10 minute walk to beach or 2 minutes to downtown Belmar. Not a bed and breakfast fan? Try the Tandem Bike Inn and they will change your mind.
Ocean Front room, king size bed, exceptional sunrise views over the ocean. The hotel is old, 1929, but it is kept up and most of the rooms renovated. I like the vintage charm and character of the entire hotel.
Innkeeper Josh is a great host! Location to the beach (2 blocks) couldn't be better. Parking is an added convenience as it can be difficult in Belmar. Plus, everything (restaraunts) is walkable.
We had an Oceanfront room that had a great view. This was our 2nd stay in the past year. Housekeeping is wonderful as well as front desk staff. Friendly hotel and a grand dame of the Jersey shore.
the hotel was very charming. Great location looking out on the water and boardwalk. the room was very clean with a nice sized refrigerator. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
