We chose this hotel purely as an overnight stop on our tour of the South and because we had discovered there was a Tina turner Museum in Brownsville as she grew up there. Although the hotel is out of town it turns out that the museum is on the same lot! The museum is really worth a visit, it’s part of the Delta Heritage Museum. They have relocated her school house from Nutbush and filled it with memorabilia. In particular they have Tina’s outfits from her last big tour, it’s an amazing collection. The hotel is typical of the brand with friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms. While in town be sure to visit the world famous Helen’s BBQ where she cooks over a daily lit pit filled with beech wood, the potato salad is amazing too

This place should be condemned and knocked down. I would not let my pet dog stay here. We left after 5 minutes and booked somewhere else 10 minutes away. As it was midnight we just wanted to sleep therefore we didn't even go to reception. Lost $60 but frankly it was more of a relief to get out. Booking.com take this dump off of your books. I'm a level 3 member and bring you a lot of trade and never had need to complain. This absolute dump is an embarrassment to you
