I like how clean the rooms were, no smells, i like how the whole building was non smoking, breakfast was really nice and service was good. I really liked that check out time is at 12 and not at 10 or 11 like other places. I was happy during my stay.

This place is not for a family or kids because the night we staied there they had hookers, loid music and noise throughout the night. This place sucks. they advised me if I want my money back to contact Booking.com and they will send them a email and Days inn will refund my second night, that was a lie, they I contacted Booking.com costermer service and they lied also by telling me they will get me refund in ten days, that was another lie.

we were there for our Son's wedding so we were in festive mode anyway.
We also stayed at a hotel in Otay Ranch Town Center which was much closer to all of the Wedding activities and Wedding. Lots of good places to eat and things to do there.
We like the Rambler because it is more centrally located to all of the San Diego area and is really easy to get in and out of. We prefer to stay at Hotels that are not the homogenous chain type and that have a more local flavor which The Rambler certainly has. We look forward to our next stay at the Rambler. We hope it's soon.

I loved everything around, wish we've stayed longer but what a comfortable hotel for the little hours we were in it, definitely going back soon! It had a lot of places nearby to check out plus the border being near by is definitely a plus!

The bathroom is infested with cucarachas / 🪳 roaches
They were everywhere on top of the sink and on my tooth brush I had to trowed it away
The complete bathroom had an horrible smell
I asked for a king size bed and I got a queen size
Not a single chair to sit on
There was no comforter !
I will not stay at this hotel again !!
I sure would love to have my money back
But I know it would be to much to ask .

Horrible experience, first of all at checkin the credit card machine wasn’t working so the employee send me to the nearest gas station to get cash from an ATM. After I did that we went to our room and as soon as we open the door we notice water on the flood and the room smelled funny. The AC unit was leaking. The bathroom door don’t have a handle nor a lock, just a freaking whole where the handle goes. There was also a water Roach on the bathroom wall. After all that I honestly couldn’t stay there any longer and we ended up leaving after paying $80 dollars for the night.
Came by for a week for vacation in San Diego. Location was good. It was nearby a MTS station which helped whenever we didn’t feel like driving to downtown SD. But even with car, downtown was only about 12 mins away. Also, down the street there is a shopping center. Also, around the block they have tacos El Gordo, which are Tijuana style tacos (Really good!).
Anyways back to the hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is good. Bed was comfy. Place looks like the pictures. Parking is free, which is definitely nice.
Stay was horrible! dirty room after we finally got a room that a key would work for. highly unsafe area!!! People coming up to door trying to buy and sell drugs. Reserved room and prepaid and after arriving was told that the reservation and prepaid price was not valid and charged me an additional fee. Out of necessity i paid and it was a huge mistake. Would have been better to stay in my car. Lesson learned Never again!!!
So I actually booked the location for my friend who was traveling with her family. Her first hotel claimed she would be charged more because of her two small children. She needed a hotel the same day. This hotel was not only cheaper but nicer than her original booking
El Primero Hotel is a very nice and quiet location. It has a warm homey atmosphere. Our host was so nice and helpful. We were in Chula Vista for a concert in San Diego. Its very close to gaslamp or the border. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you El Primero!
The inside of the room was very very nice , it was redone with similar features to the Hilton hotel , but with a lower budget. But it was nice to see and very eye pleasing, in my opinion they need to do every motel 6 over the way they made the room I had look
I loved how comfortable the bed was, the decor was so cute and made me feel good after a long day of traveling. The staff was very sweet and helpful. Traveling can be expensive so I appreciated the discount at the cafe for being staying at their hotel.
It’s a family owned hotel so their hospitality is very unique. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Not much amenities, it’s really just a place to sleep and more on exploring the town.
The breakfast was amazing. Special thanks to Alex, who managed the breakfast and was very welcoming. He really made our days here start great!
The location is perfect for trips to both San Diego and Tijuana as well.
Almost nothing, maybe just the free parking which is usual in all the hotels in this area.
This hotel is nothing compared to La quinta inn in LA where we used to stay. I wouldn't stay here again
everything was good in Hotel and parking was easy, room was a bit tight for 4. Will be there again when I come back again. Great place to stay. easy access to San diego Downtown. nice to stay.
Close enough to the business I had to transact in the morning at Otay Mesa. Friendly reception. Working fridge microwave. Close walk to restaurants and cheap gas. Economic price. Clean.
Our trip to San Diego was so comfortable with the stay in Holiday inn in Chula Vista!
We had so good breakfast with big variety of food!
The workers were helpful and nice!
Cheap price. Close to the freeway. McDonalds is right by there, next to a gas station. That's about it really. There's not much else I can say that I enjoyed.
