We liked the convenience to Tallahassee, where our family activities were. We liked the selection of good seafood restaurants in the area. We liked that the area is quiet, no big rushing traffic like in Tallahassee.

It was a very short stay, but what I can say for sure is they do not have full service kitchens open late, except for fast food. We had to go to Winn Dixie to get some food and bring it to the hotel. If you are planning to travel late and prefer healthier food options, plan accordingly.AAnonymousUnited States

The staff were all friendly and welcoming, too. A definite highlight and strong recommendation is the boat tour, which takes you through some stunning landscapes (possibly even more gorgeous in the morning light) where you can see some local wildlife. We must've seen about 30 alligators, and even spotted a manatee. The whole stay was reasonably priced for what you get, but the boat tour was especially great value!

The hotel is clean, quiet, comfortable, and friendly. There is a restaurant right next door, and a good local BBQ place about 1 mile away. This is my usual stop-over when I am travelling from Cocoa to Ft. Walton Beach which I do about twice a year.

There were walking and biking trails on site and the highlight was the boat tour with an entertaining and informative commentary by Colin the park ranger. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed both.

The location was close to Tallahassee but not many restaurants near the hotel, I loved the gazebo. We could enjoy sitting outside. We had a nice picture window that looked out on the wooded scenery.
