We requested a room on the top floor and that was honored. The hotel location is set on a hill so it is not down on the busy main drag. The shower had great water pressure. We liked the separate bed lights as well as being able to run just a fan for white noise and air circulation without need of heat or a/c.

Cumberland Gap is one of the areas best kept secrets.
Cumberland Gap is one of the areas best kept secrets. There’s lots of history in the area and many sites to explore. It has the best nature scenery with mountains, streams and overlooks, and even a cave.

The Cumberland Gap is a stunningly beautiful area full of civil war history. It was exciting to walk where many important settlers had walked and to touch the same rocks and see some of the same sights. We loved the easy access to trails and the well maintained trails. It did rain quite a bit while were were there, so be prepared. The town of Cumberland Gap is a friendly oasis in the middle of the pristine forest with darling shops and fun food options.
