Desert Hot Springs is economically depressed compared to nearby Palm Springs. We stayed New Year's week, and a couple of the restaurants we had thought we'd try were still closed for the holidays. We selected Desert Hot Springs for the natural thermal water (apparently only one hotel in Palm Springs has genuine from-the earth hot water, but most in Desert Hot Springs do). If that's not important to you, stay in Palm Springs. We did two amazing hikes in the Indian Canyons near Palm Springs.

Desert Hot Springs is fine if you're coming specifically to a resort. The town itself is minimal, has few restaurants, and little entertainment. Close enough to Yucca Valley and Palm Springs for those things though.

I was taken aback by several experiences while on the property!
1) The entire property needs renovating and a quality check. For the pricing, furniture, decor and look should be at a higher and more pleasing level.
2) The food served at the restaurant was subpar at best. Lots of issues and food had to be returned and adjusted several times!?!
3) My largest issue was the caliber and presentation of the staff!!! I captured a video of a VERY LOADED Employee while there??? This employee, although very visibly high on something, wasn't asked to leave at all. She was simply asked to sit and fold napkins? She nodded off whole folding each individual napkin and practiced unsanitary habits while doing so!!!

The most interest is the mineral water!
The most interest is the mineral water! It exceeded my expectations. The different temperature in the pools, jacuzzi is great idea!
Some more hours of restaurant with light breakfast or add buffet will be better.
But the most concern - is all wabbling chairs and some carpet renewal, a little refresh wall painting is necessary!
And the view from side of hotel will be better if any landscape will be added or any activity center / park will be built for selfies, artists...

Beds are comfortable. Love the two saunas in addition to the variety of mineral pools with varying temperatures... Very nice landscaping and lots of beautiful plants everywhere. Continental Breakfast of delicious breads, fresh cut fruit, boiled eggs etc.. was great. Breakfast starts at 8 which is fine but it would be nice to have the coffee out a little earlier. Overall, we think it's the best spa hotel in desert hot springs.
we basically had the whole hotel for ourselves. it felt like renting a big villa and was great. the pool side is lovely. it’s in a quiet area. the room is really good and the whole setup is very cute. although the owner was not here, he made sure we managed to get all codes to get into the place. all the check in process was super easy and smooth.
Loved the privacy of the resort, about 7 units on the property so its super relaxing! The proximity to Cabots adobe, the accommodating staff, the 24 hours mineral pools,& rooms were modern, light,& bright! Rooms 6 & 7 have kitchenettes so you can make your own food if you don’t want to leave the peacefulness of this lovely resort!
many thanks to the manager Krystal Bradley! This is a wonderful woman! Amazing and awesome! She wasn't at hotel during my stay. She was at the hospital. But she quickly solved all my question simply texted me!
Krystal Bradley from the bottom of my heart I wish you great health and all the best! May God bless you and your family
The hotel is beautifully decorated and really feels like an Italian oasis in the middle of the desert. I loved relaxing in the 3 different pools and the staff was so kind and friendly. The room also was very comfortable, clean and I loved having the little kitchen. I highly recommend if you are staying in Desert Hot Springs :)
The best kept secret in the world . I have travelled a lot . The lady up front I believe her name is Nadin was so warm and welcoming. The staff every one of them were so kind and helpful. The most relaxing hotel I have ever been . The hot spring water was so clean and truly relaxing. Thank you . Price is the best
Pools were very nice (and clean), which was the main reason for selecting this hotel. Staff circulated checking on pools the entire time we were soaking. Temperatures ranged from about 75 to 104 degrees, and they were not crowded. Area felt a bit sketchy, so the gated parking lot was a plus. 1950s vibe is cool.
I like the simplicity and the comfortability of the space and enchanted energy of the desert, the beautiful light of the moon for the night in the cozy hot waters and the fun feeling of the sun during the day to play in the pool, the hotel give us a feeling of family and I much appreciate it.
So many good things to say about this hotel. The rooms are spacious, cheery and exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel filled with colorful, fun decor. There is a fire pit at night and the mineral pool is heated. Lovely stay!
Good for bird watchers. Close to Joshua Tree NP, Thousand Palms Oasis, Mt San Jacinto Aerial Tram, and Big Morango Canyon Preserve. The resort has many palms, is very quiet at night, and wonderful hot pools therapeutic for your arthritis pain.
The spa facilities and grounds are beautiful. The rooms need updating. The carpet is disgusting and needs to be pulled out. If carpet is removed the hotel would be top notch rating.
We loved this hotel since staff were very helpful, the room was great and the breakfast was tasty. The warm spring pool and the hot tub were open late and enjoyed by all.
we‘ve been here for the second time and enjoyed it a lot. it‘s a really nice hotel for a great price. the pools are amazing and the staff is gorgeous. we‘ll be back!
Small cute hotel with a lot of space in the room. Comfortable beds and everything was clean! Pool area is nice, staff is very friendly! Breakfast has good options.
