There is a convenient key box to check in, since we arrived at middle night and left in early morning. Hotel provided enough bottle water, so we did not really buy more water. Walking distance to beach so we could handout at the beach till 11 pm.

Love the town.
Love the town. Caters to visitors, but has its historic roots and events and festivals for locals. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Town is clean and takes pride in its maintenance. Beach is beautiful. A lot of benches and room for beach-goers. Love that the town was a popular destination, but not at all over-crowded. Nice coffee shops and a great local brewery.

It is a town that caters to boaters and wealthy people. There is a good choice of retail storefronts selling beachwear, jewelry, home and kitchen goods and a good selection of places to dine, including a brewery. Parking is free and ample. A paved bike/run/walk trail along the Betsie river is a plus.

Quaint little beach town... public beach on Lake Michigan, lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Very “walkable.” There’s a marina on Betsie Lake which is a block south of Main Street. You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Frankfort is also close (short drive) to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Crystal Lake & other attractions.GailUnited States - 10Scored 10

I do not know exactly how often I was in Frankfort but I will come back again and every time I was here I had a great time. The sunset at the beach is amazing. The beach is wide open and clean. The entertainment in the city provides something for everybody.My personal favorite is the Storm Cloud brewery, but just because I love craft beers

Nice small beach town with plenty of nature to see within 1 hr radius. Crowded at the 4th of July. Beach is awesome. People are friendly. Restaurants are ok. Lots of shops to visit. Nice farmers market on Saturday.
