Breakfast was typical free breafast. Coffee machine was nice but I think it didn't have the dairy injection for expresso or americano flavor

Went to meet a friend.
Went to meet a friend. Ate dinner at Old Chicago as take-out. Food was good but not as hot as I would hope. At breakfast at Perkins which was exceptional. Service was great, food was good and hot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't expect exceptional stay in Gillette as previous trips were not the greatest.

Great staff! VERY CLEAN! Breakfast was ok.
Great staff! VERY CLEAN! Breakfast was ok. Mostly due to CoVid there were safe limitations. The AC IN OUR ROOM DID NOT WORK WELL. the hotels these days override the United to save money. We had it on energy saving mode at forest but it would get so unbearably hot. I tried to keep the fan on but due to the “overrides” it still shut off. I had to manually switch from fan only to ac (for those of you wondering why, when air is circulating the warm air coming back to the unit, it will warm the censors and then activate the ac unit as it relayed the warmer room temp and activated and then cools the room. Without air circulation thus a stand still! No air, no recognition of warmer temperatures: then it takes time for the censor to warm : like an hour: unlike if warmer air passed over it such as when air/fan is on to warm it). It was terrible. The ice machine was broke. I will say the view were terrible but the service and cleanliness were absolutely wonderful
Really overall great stay!!!!!

Gillette is a great historic, small town.
Gillette is a great historic, small town. We were able to enjoy a stroll down historic downtown and an ice cream date with my wife at Ice Cream Cafe. The bridge over the train tracks was a fun stop, too - although my son would've loved for a train to be moving down the tracks at the time. The Frontier Relics & Auto Museum is a must-visit location I recommend. There were a couple other museums and activities that looked interesting, but we didn't have a lot of time in Gillette.
The plug ins on the night stand lamp, large spacious room, great hot breakfast, awesome water pressure in the shower, bathroom fan actually clears off the moisture from the lighted bathroom mirror after showering, fresh baked cookies in the lobby (at random times) secure guest laundry rooms, located next to Harbor freight, Walmart, Ulta Beauty, Marshall's. Also near Ruby Tuesdays. Nice employees. We love this hotel.

The hotel was forgiving.... booking.com and priceline were NOT!!! Shay at the front desk was AMAZING!!! She did EVERYTHING she could to make my stay pleasant.... booking.com or priceline wouldn't! If I were you I'd book directly or through another company!! Priceline.com and booking.com are TERRIBLE!!!
The front lobby was clean, updated flooring, desk. We arrived at 9 PM and front desk had keys and rooms ready. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was hot omelette and sausage, exceeded expectations. Really a nice clean hotel w friendly staff and great breakfast. Very impressive.
The room at Candlewood in Gillette Wyoming was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable, water strength in shower was great.stove refrigerator microwave, this room had everything you need. It felt like home. Will definitely stay there again when I visit Gillette.
It looks like an old traditional Hotel where rooms look like old-style equiped but so clean and comfort - we really like it. We like big parking lot too. And an old woman in reception have been amazing - she looks like grandmother from a fairy tale.
When we went to have breakfast the desk clerk was carry her small cat around the food. We did not appreciate a cat being near the food. They also did not have any eating utensils.
we accidentally booked a smoking room. would not let us switch and were extremely rude. we had to switch hotels because the smell was horrid and could not get a refund.
