Motel 101, hotel in Gold Beach

Featuring free Wi-Fi, this Gold Beach, Oregon motel is less than 5 minutes’ drive to South Beach Park. Equipped with cable TV and free Wi-Fi, all rooms offer an en suite bathroom at Motel 101.

The staff was lovely and checked me in quickly. The location is great. Gold Beach itself strikes me as a struggling small town, kind of industrial, but you can get anywhere from here. Beach access is easy and a good restaurant is across the street. You have a perfectly good microwave and fridge, and it's more quiet than I would expect being right on the 101. You get plenty of good hot water for baths and showers which I really appreciated.

We come up for Bike the Rogue in September a cycling fundraiser by the Gold Beach rotary for college scholarships. My husband loves the golf course Cedar bend. Nice restaurants for a nice dinner... Spinners and the Landing North are our favorites along with the Tav for more casual dining... Double D's for breakfast. Jerry's Jet boat tours are great... Highly recommend.

If I can retire anywhere on the Oregon coast.

If I can retire anywhere on the Oregon coast. Gold beach would be the town. You have the ocean on one side and beautiful mountains on the other side. I love seeing houses up there especially at night when you can see the lights. I love the bridge. I just love it. It’s very quiet too. Just want I need. Peace and quite.

The nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in.

The nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. The manager gave us a second floor room so we'd have a nice view over the bridge and water. Place was meticulously clean. The room is basic, nothing fancy at all, but clean and beds were comfortable.

The Jerry’s Jet Boat ride is highly recommended for a relaxing and fun trip on the Rogue River that leads to the ocean. The Gold Beach Visitors center is located a short distance from the beach, a good first stop with friendly and informed staff. Then follow that with a walk on the beach. The basic lodgings and eateries are few in this small town. TuTuTin Lodge, located on the Rogue River, is refined and exceptional with delicious breakfast and dinners although not family or pet oriented.

The town itself, was very disappointing.

The town itself, was very disappointing. Obviously, Gold Beach is in a depressed state. There were very few eating options, even less DINING choices. Spinners, within walking distance of the hotel, was closed the two days we were in Gold Beach. We found The Landing acceptable, barely. A meatball sandwich we shared at a nearby pizza parlor was terrible. Driving through Brookings, it appears it may have been worth driving 20+ miles to eat at a reputable dining establishment. We also noticed when going into a local market (McKay's), how unfriendly/borderline rude the local people seemed to be. We traveled and spent one day in Bandon, and had a wonderful time. We found it clean, accommodating, friendly, offering of a variety of inviting eating places with fresh delicious food served with a smile, and interesting and lovely stores for shopping. Thankfully, the hotel itself and the easy access to the beach made our visit to the coast a pleasant one. The town itself could improve itself to be more inviting to visitors.

Nice hotel with a very nice and secluded location on a ridge above Gold Beach. Very pleasant outdoor area with, among other things, benches, and barbecue facilities. This was a pleasant surprise and diversion from the motels that are usually right next to the main street or a freeway. We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner when we arrived, and I got a positive impression of the service. Seemed to be a well-run place. As for the rooms, this is a very standard Motel 6, as you would like to know it from countless another Motel 6

Without any signage, I found the place by address. It appears to be a large mansion where someone lives. The host was very nice and personable, the room was wonderful, nicely decorated and comfortable. I have already recommended it to friends who travel in the area, we happened to view July 4 fireworks from the front porch lounge area. I highly recommend it to anyone near Gold Beach, OR. This hotel was much better than expected. The outside is a simple hotel but when you enter the room is updated and the view (river view room) is spectacular! The Rogue river fills your view, in both directions, as it spills into the ocean, which you can see on your right. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights and it was well worth the very reasonable price.

we are very disappointed with this property. they sent us stay to another property next door it’s Ireland’s Rustic Lodges a hut very old and dirty. No WiFi. Please stay another’s hotel. this hotel’s wasting your money. Booking.Com, please recheck quality and reconsider this property might do not match with basic requirements for a motel or hotel room for customers.

A lovely place along the Rogue River on the outskirts of Gold Beach. The view was enchanting even on a cold, rainy afternoon. There was a small outdoor patio which would have been perfect to relax on a warm, sunny afternoon. The indoor hot tub in a separate building was a welcome bonus. Lots of handy parking. The room was spacious and very clean.

There are three tiers to this hotel and we were on the bottom so had to listen to people walking on our heads. Fortunately no one was too loud or stayed up too late. We had a view of the beach and the water from the room and a small balcony, but there were no tables or chairs to sit on out there, though we did see that some units did have them.

Jacuzzi tub on the porch was decent 👍 the jets were kinda weak sauce tho. Pet friendly - it seemed like everyone had a dog here. The wifi connection was good - I was able to play my ps5 online just fine. The Starbucks coffee packs in the room were a plus.
