Nothing at all. We were 10 minutes away when we were called and told they had over booked. We had until 11 pm I believe to check in and we were going to make that time. I believe they gave our room away thinking we weren't going to make it.

Clarysville Motel, hotel in Grantsville

Located close to Interstate 68, this Frostburg motel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms equipped with a microwave and refrigerator.

Good location and price. That is it. I am writing this review because the man who checked me in was so incredibly rude to me that I decided I'd take the time to document his behavior. He should never, ever, be interacting with customers. Period.

The breakfast was serve yourself with options available on the counter and in the fridge. The kitchen was very well equipped and lovely with a view out to the grounds and river. The decor everywhere in the house was exceptional and pottery mugs were some of the nicest I have seen. The entire house was extremely clean.

Grantsville is a wonderful community to visit. We enjoyed the Penn Alps restaurant's Amish cooking, The Casselman Inn, and the Spruce Forest Artisan Village, including the amazing House of Yoder museum!

    The town was very quant!

The town was very quant! The people were so nice and inviting. You can walk the streets safely. They had a great park for the kids with 2 playgrounds, a pond, sport fields, and a big open area to run around in. Lots of activities to do nearby: hiking, sightseeing, swimming, parks, shopping, and Deep Creek is just a short drive from here. The only 2 places we ate at the were the Casselman for breakfast and the American Legion for a dinner. Both were excellent!

Nice small town, quiet at night, pretty setting from which you can see the mountains! Check out the restaurant at Casselman (when it opens again) and also Penn Alps a short drive down the road. They have a great restaurant also, plus a village where you can see artists making all sorts of things, from soap, gorgeous bird carving, rug weaving, pottery, etc by local artisans.

Many establishments were closed due to the coronavirus restrictions. Having only 2 days was not enough to even drive around the area. Believe spring and fall are fantastic times for Taking some awesome nature photos and for hiking.

Casselman Inn is great for a stop for lunch or dinner. The Artisan Forest is a great place to check out during the week. There are also places to eat. It's close to Frostburg, where the university is located. Grantsville is a great spot for driving to Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls Park, and over the mountains.

Close to Deep Creek Lake, with some great arts scene stuff including Salt & Pepper Studios in town on Main St., and the Artisan Village near the Casselman Bridge. Great little cafe in the Artisan Village, Cornucopia, which never disappoints for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
