Olema House at Point Reyes, hotel in Inverness

Named for the quaint, historic town of Olema and designed to complement its turn-of-the-century architecture, Olema House offers twenty-four stylish, individually appointed rooms.

We were on our honeymoon and were made to feel very welcome. The bottle of wine was a nice touch too. We loved our bay window with view of the gorgeous gardens. Some deer came to graze on our first morning - a magical experience. The food at the restaurant was really good, and the staff were lovely. Joe was very sweet providing us with tips for our visit to the area.

There were few shopping facilities and restaurants around this hotel, but we could stay clean and quiet. Our room was spacious and there was no problem for my family(2adults, 2kids), and it was helpful that there was a large refrigerator and a mini kitchen.

Petaluma Warehouse Lofts unit E, hotel in Inverness

I can’t say enough how lovely our stay was. Frank who is the host for this loft was very kind, there if you needed him and just overall genuine understanding guy which I appreciated very much. As far as the loft itself it was clean, comfortable and unique. The way the set up is reminds me of a hidden swanky gem in San Francisco but you get that right here in Petaluma. You would never guess looking from the street just how beautiful and big this loft is. Jaw dropping to say the least. My favorite was the rain walk in shower and how you could watch tv from the living room while in bed of the room downstairs just by opening the farm house doors. The bedroom was the only thing upstairs, which is nice privacy wise, a wall of windows looking down at the living room opens the bedroom up with natural stunning sunlight from the sunroof that lays above. I appreciated the full kitchen where I was able to grocery shop, bring the food back and cook instead of spending money out on every meal. Everything you need is here at this loft to make you feel right at home. I hope to explore and experience another one of his many places as this was truly remarkable. Thank you Frank for one of my, if not THE best stay I’ve had in Petaluma thus far! Cheers!

    Great hiking options.

Great hiking options. If you love nature and California’s beauty, it’s all here! Hiked to Abbott’s Lagoon-spectacular for birdviewing. On the drive out you pass through forests, then through grass and wetlands teeming with birds and other life. The lighthouse was closed but we have gone there in the past and it is starkly beautiful-also a good workout with all those stairs! We hiked in Bear valley and it was fully abloom, full of trickling water, trees and ferns. So peaceful and beautiful. You can hike for hours and end up at the ocean if you want. Some good eating choices also. Not much shopping though if you’re wanting that. Mainly great for reveling in nature!

I like how small and quiet Inverness is.

I like how small and quiet Inverness is. I wish the grocery store would open for sandwiches early in the morning. I like the atmosphere at Vladimir's. I love the hiking trails nearby, especially chimney Rock and Pierce Point Ranch.
