The staff were always friendly. The poor night guy was so overworked. He was doing everything for everyone solo when he needed 3 helpers minimum.

    Everything.

Everything. This was the dirtiest, most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in and I've been to third world countries. How Days Inn allows this/has their name attached to this place is beyond me. We arrived 15 mins early and they wouldn't let us check in because the rooms were being "cleaned". At the room, EVEYTHING was dirty. The walls, lamp shades, floors, furniture, shower curtains, room curtains, towels were all dirty and/or stained. The bathroom floor was sticky and there were also bugs on it as well as in the main room. The carpeted floor had soaking wet spots all over it (one which I assume was spilled beer based on the smell) and the overall smell of the room itself was diapers. Literally every surface of the room was dirty (end tables, TV, remote, headboards) and there was even a clump of wet toilet paper stuck to the smoke detector. Oh and in the middle of the night, the pipes in the bathroom began screeching loudly and wouldn't stop. Worst place ever!

The only thing I liked was the location, very close to the expressway. I couldn't connect to their internet, had no water for a couple of days and the room needed repairs to the walls, shower, etc. They didn't even serve coffee in the morning, but was told to "go find a Tim Horton's" for coffee and internet. The TV programming was excellent. There were a lot of people staying in the room next to me, and I saw a very large dog there several times. I'm allergic to dogs, so that's an issue for me and I told them that before I booked and when I checked in.

It's what you'd expect for a "cheap" motel in Madison Heights. The sheets were relatively clean. The backroom was suspect, as well as the floors. I bought a pillow/blanket and cleaning supplies from near by Target. The door wasn't very secure, which doesn't lend to a restful sleep. Not a place for families or folks unfamiliar with this type of motel.

The front desk reception was friendly and efficient.

The front desk reception was friendly and efficient. The room was a big disappointment — very run down and reeked of smoke. It was clean, but the odor made it feel dirty. The bed did not seem to be a queen size. We did get a discount on our room when we spoke to the front desk about a few issues at the time of checkout (the employee was very friendly and receptive to our issues).

The room was not really clean.

The room was not really clean. The TV's were small and the remote control didn't work. The jacuzzi was small, the carpet was not clean. The couch was old with stains on it and dirty looking. Also, the sink was leaking too! 👎
