I have for many years used the Hampton brand thinking the premium in price was worth it , twice now I have been left disappointed and out of pocket , I don't know if the whole brand is having issues or I have just been unlucky.

Mt. Sterling is a quiet town off the beaten path with connections to the interstate and other major routes. I love the countryside with its horses and cows and the people here are friendly and helpful. The food here is really flavorful and historically I don't care much for iced tea; the peach iced tea at Cracker Barrel has made me a convert!
The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Both mornings food was scarce and we had to get food after we left the hotel. It was an expense we hadn’t planned on and was very disappointing. There wasn’t silverware, garbage was all over and there was nowhere to even put it. It was shocking to say the least.
Location on highway was noisy. Windows are cheap and unable to ameliorate the constant semi-traffic on I-64.I didn't realize that double rooms backed up to highway and kings did not. Had I known that I would have booked a king.
The room was clean and beds cpmfortable.
The room was huge and the king size bed was very comfortable. The young woman, behind the desk, who was there in the morning and day, was very friendly and helpful. She is a huge asset to this hotel!!
it was a clean room, and easy access from the highway. the staff were all knowledgeable and very friendly. the breakfast was awesome, best we’ve ever had at a hotel.
