This is a budget motel and you can't expect a Ritz-Carlton experience. But it was in walking distance of Northampton center where there are a lot of nice restaurants, the room was good sized, neat, and quiet, and the breakfast was enough to knock the crust out of your eyes in the morning. That's what I was looking for.

The apartment is lovely! Very well decorated, everything is new, especially in the kitchen that has all brand new utensils and a eating area with a window to the green. Our host was very nice and helpful. Definetly recommend it.

Northampton is a beautiful New England town of historic significance. The Smith College campus is exceptionally nice. There is very little or nothing to do in town after the sun goes down. You need to find a hotel with all the amenities and a working television set.

There are lots of restaurants and shops. College town vibe. We were only there for an overnight stay, but dined at the Hotel Northampton, which I've dined at a number of times. Lunch was terrific. Prices good. Went to Look Park for the first time. We were SO impressed. Tickets were priced well and the park is lovely. Music venue was breathtaking. Acoustics great. We went to Smith College Art Museum which was a treat. Tunnel Bar was closed when we were there in afternoon, but I've been before and it's fun and different. Got ice cream and an egg cream at Herrell's. You must go!

Coming to North Hampton for two of its venues the Academy of music and the outdoor concerts in the park whose name I can't remember but it's a rather large park with a very large open venue for concerts.

I saw more panhandlers, more than a dozen, in one hour than I usually see in Manhattan in a day. Many shops have gone out of business.
Jake’s has a great breakfast and Osaka had good sushi at a reasonable price. Local Burger remains one of my favorites.
Walking around is easy but didn’t feel safe with all the panhandlers.

This was a horrible hotel was not clean also ,horrible bagged breakfast no choice at all. Room was not what we asked for. Disabled rm with 2 beds. Not sure who was responsible for that. Many things were broken, like ice machine and REFRIGERATOR!! And POOL that we asked about specifically was NOT EVEN FILLED! We ARE NOT HAPPY WITH this hotel or our STAY THERE!

Northampton is a very lively old New England town with a lovely downtown full of shops and restaurants.
There is a really cool bar called the Tunnel Bar that specializes in martinis. It's set inside an old train tunnel. Well worth a visit.
There is also a brewery right around the corner too.
Northampton is very easy to stroll around and we felt safe on the 15 minute walk back to our hotel.
The Academy of Music is a grand old theater that was the reason for our visit; we saw Jesse Cooke perform and it was a great show!
One caveat about Northampton; there are quite a few "homeless" folks panhandling on the streets, which is kind of sad.
All in all it's a great place to visit!
This a great place for the money. No frills, no extras, just a fine place for a night or two. Good location near the highway and the senior community. Main room is spacious even with two queen size beds but bathroom is tiny. Good shower pressure tho! This is a very old place with no upgrades or amenities but again, it is fine for the money. Perhaps best suited for short stays (travelers heading though Northampton, construction workers etc...). Staff is friendly.
The rooms are beautiful. It is a perfect location downtown. The staff was amazingly sweet, courteous and professional. I also love that I live in Northampton and am able to feel like I am on some exotic vacation, if only for a night. The absolute best thing is the price!!! The Hotel Northampton is even cheaper than the Quality Inn! The only thing the Quality Inn has that The Hotel Northampton is a pool. Nothing else is comparable
room was big enough for two queen bed and some work area. It is very close to Northampton, so that is very convenient. It is also just off I-91, so that is also very convenient. It has a "camping" vibe and in the midst of a residential area, so feels neighborly. Last but not the least, it is almost next to MA State Trooper barracks, so you can be assured that the likelihood of crime is very minimal.
This motel exceeded my expectations. The beds were super comfortable, conveniently located near the food co-op, which helped me ensure I had meals since there’s nothing to eat in Northampton, the staff was lovely, and the rooms had everything I needed. I loved the microwave, aircon and fridge. Shower hot water was plentiful and water pressure was great. Surprisingly quiet, too
The hotel is in Northampton which is a lovely town with some lovely buildings, full of lovely choices of eatery's, bars and shops. We stayed for one night and went into the town to eat. Found a lovely restaurant towards the bottom of the town. the hotel was perfect, very nice lounge area for all guests. Our room was very comfortable and spacious.

open space living area, beautiful kitchen with all necessities, lovely bathroom with two headed shower & very comfortable bed. great deck off bedroom. lots of privacy & quiet but close to Northampton main street with cute shops & restaurants. a lovely stay only 25 min from UMass & near all 5 colleges.
The sausage sandwich and other bagged items were not to my liking. The breakfast was not available when it was supposed to be ready and we had to request the person at the desk to go get it. The lid to the garbage can by the breakfast was sticky; however our room itself was clean.
We were in town for a funeral. It was the perfect location for our needs. Delicious dinner in the hotel, followed by a stroll through town for ice cream. No noise from the main street below made for a great night’s sleep.
The bed here was superb! Breakfast was what I expected, muffins, cereal, fruit. I came to visit family. I was in the hotel because my mother's house was sold last year. No more free hotel. Sigh.
My son and his wife live in Northampton. I stayed at your hotel when I couldn't stay at their house, the first night of my trip. I'm lactose intolerant, so breakfast was difficult for me.
The location in the centre of Northampton was ideal. The restaurant was easily accessible. The availability of free parking in the hotel car park was extremely convenient.
Lovely little community, full of life, great food & street scene. Nice Classic Hotel... very rare to find something this historic but yet in nice condition overall.
One of the nicest hotels I stayed in during a trip all over Massachusetts and the East Coast. Very comfortable and classy. Good location and helpful staff.
Staff were wonderful, entire facility was clean, room was comfortable and clean. Are was accessible to walk so over the city. I will recommend this hotel.
