From my experience, the town has just about everything you need. There are big stores and chains like Walmart and fast food places but also there are locally owned businesses and services. The town seems drab and run down a bit so I don't know what is keeping it alive but I did not get any negative vibes anywhere I went. I was passing through but had a decent amount of time to visit Walmart (across the street from HEB Grocery), dollar tree, Little Ceasars and ordered Door Dash, & Starbucks. I used to travel often for business and found reviews very valuable so I like to help when I can.
