Interesting place to stay in that every room was different - we enjoyed the Paris room !

Beautiful area worth seeing. We went to Silver Springs, Rainbow springs and Crystal River. Went swimming with manatees, kayaking and tubing. Also went on a glass bottom boat. Good food but restaurants close early at night!

Silver Springs is a must do for people looking for an authentic natural Florida experience. Take a few hours and kayak the river, we used Discovery Kayaks and they were so nice to work with. We had dinner at Mojo's and it was great! Dog Gone Diner for breakfast was such a sweet place with an amazing warm staff.

Silver Springs state park is the only thing to do.
Silver Springs state park is the only thing to do. Had planned on spending time hiking/driving/walking/enjoying Ocala National Forest but the part near us was ugly, dry, scrub secondary growth with nothing interesting to see or do.

We had a nice trip on the enclosed glass-bottom boat.
We had a nice trip on the enclosed glass-bottom boat. We were not required to wear a mask (which was nice)... parties were social-distanced on the boats.
Beautifully clear water that allowed you to view the vegetation and wildlife on the 30 minute tour.
The shops and visitor (education) center are currently closed.
It was not very expensive and it was enjoyable for the whole family. We saw fish, turtles, birds, and one 7 foot alligator.
We took a hike on the raised boardwalk before we went on the boat trip.
I wish we would've had time to take a kayak trip to enjoy the water for a couple hours.
We recommend a stop at Silver Springs State Park.

Stay at the Holiday Express Inn down the street.
Stay at the Holiday Express Inn down the street. We spent the 1st nite there and were delighted with the free breakfast and excellent room at a lower price than the OYO , Because of no rooms available for our entire stay we were forced to stay at the OYO Mustang for 2 nites. What a mistake. We had to contact Booking.com to be able to check out 1 day early. We were only there because of the Hurricane. The area itself had plenty of good eating places. When I asked the desk clerk
6 email confirmations. None had the phone # or address. Called but, after a long wait, got an Indian rep who refused to give me the address. After wandering for an hour I found it. Promised a late check-in. Office was empty and locked. Mgr came out and was rude. Refused to check me in. Then got charged though he said no charge because I never got a toom. Booking would not answer phone. They are all crooked. I will post this story everywhere till Booking.com is dead and gone.
A comfortable room in an ideal location for visiting Silver Springs national park. Easy to find and with most of the facilities you'd expect in an international chain hotel. A huge spa bath in our room allowed my wife to bask at leisure while I used the separate shower - luxury!
The worst stay in a hotel, pool falsely advertised and looks like it hasn’t been filled in years. No amenities, ripped curtains and mold on each lamp and the walls.
