This was the first time my wife and I have ever stayed at a B & B. It exceeded our expectations! The hosts Karl and Janet go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The passion and pride they have in what they do shows in so many ways. The house being over 120 years old is like a museum in it self with updated amenities. Breakfast was exceptional from the presentation to the variety and taste. They have set the bar on how a B & B should be managed. The location was a perfect home base to experience all of door county. Would not hesitate to book another stay.

We loved how spacious the room was and valued the privacy it offered with romantic touches of a jacuzzi tub and fireplace in the living area of the suite, as well as the comfortable king size bed! Breakfast was served at our door providing convenience and privacy again to eat in our own room together instead of a large dining area. We also had a second private entrance to our suite off of the main porch. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The inn keepers were welcoming and accommodating! We had an amazing weekend.

Door county is a beautiful place to visit.
Door county is a beautiful place to visit. Relaxing and the scenery is breathtaking. Plenty of restaurants, vineries and craft breweries. Sturgeon Bay is a beautiful area but we spent half of our time elsewhere.

We could not have asked for a better experience than we had at the Scofield House. The hosts were wonderful, kind and helpful. The room was lovely and the food delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the lighthouses and going to the Maritime museum. Wish we had time to shop at the Thursday sidewalk sales.

We enjoyed a fish fry at Waterfront Marys.
We enjoyed a fish fry at Waterfront Marys. Great location and food. The views are amazing. Lots of little shops downtown & only about a 40 min drive to the edge of the peninsula, to sisters bay and less to the rest of the harbors. Worth a trip here.

The fall colors were just beginning to show their brilliance...
The fall colors were just beginning to show their brilliance, we had delightful meals at Mike's Bar and Grill in Jacksonport, loved the skyline view at Peninsula State park, which also was a beautiful drive. Visited Eagle Bluff lighthouse and enjoyed shopping in multiple towns on the peninsula.
The Holiday Music Hotel is one of a kind and fantastic. The vintage, mid-century vibe was like nowhere I’ve ever stayed, and with all modern amenities included. I love that I was able to bring my dog, too. The owner was helpful and welcoming and lives on premises to help out with anything at any hour. The location was perfect— in sight of the historic steel bridge and the water and one block from all the restaurants and shops of Third St. I plan to stay here any time I return to Door County.
I really loved the comfort of the house, it felt like home. The place was nice and I had no issues whatsoever. I really recommend this house if anyone is looking for a safe place to stay. It was my first time staying at place other then a hotel but overall great experience. The location isn't far from other popular places either and there's a lot to enjoy! I loved that they provided board games because what's better then a game night with your family!
We were so happy with our stay here - this was a little gem! The owners were very nice and the rooms were clean and very quiet. In fact this is the quiet side of the peninsula but that suited us just fine! The hotel is right on the beach front and there is a little coffee shop too for the mornings. There was plenty to do in the area or you can drive easily to other villages. I can see this being a place we will come again and again!
This is a vintage historic home with many saved remembrances from this homes beginnings back in 1902. It is like taking a step back in time. The owners of this gem in Sturgeon Bay, Karl and Janet, take great pride in their home and how the run their bed and breakfast. This is the 5th B&N we have stayed at and is our favorite. Great people, Great food and a great house.
We stayed in Yurts at Tranquil Timbers in Sturgeon Bay.
The cozy and well-equipped yurts are amazing. The campground's serene location and friendly staff make it an ideal choice for a peaceful getaway more specifically during weekdays since the camping was very quiet. Highly recommended.
Beautiful rustic room with a balcony! The standard two double Queen beds you find in US hotels. Wooden screeching floor on the balcony. Bird nests next door. Helpful staff with the weird American shower controls. A freshly made omelette. Fireplace in the lobby. A lovely stay in general.
I really appreciated being able to bring my dog and sit outside on the lake in a swing. It was a quiet, the fall foliage was beautiful and overall relaxing time. The location is on the southern in of Sturgeon Bay but was a great for an October visit.
This is such a hidden gem! The staff are so friendly, the common kitchen space was clean and reminded me of a cute hostel vibes, the rooms are so cozy, and the music theme is so unqiue and fun. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in!
This is a quirky, quaint hotel across four 19thC properties, furnished in an eclectic but impeccable style. Dennis our host was friendly and informative. The breakfasts were splendid and taken in company with other guests.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel just really beautiful. The room was spacious and comfy. For all of us it was definitely one of the best hotel experiences we had in recent years.
The house is in an optimal location in Sturgeon Bay.
The hosts, Janet and Karl, are very friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed the stay there very much and would stay there again at any time.
The beds are so comfortable. It is right on lake, close to downtown Sturgeon Bay.Breakfast is fabulous with freshly made omlettes.Great restaurant menu with friendly staff. Our second time here.
The motel was in between Sturgeon Bay and Jacksonport. Even though it was on the main road, the traffic noise was close to none. It was close to a bar that had delicious food.
