White Moose Inn, hotel in Washington, Virginia

Showcasing a sun terrace and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, White Moose Inn is located in Washington, Virginia. Rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels.

If you’re dining at the Inn this couldn’t be a better location to stay- it’s a quick walk and feels like it’s on property. The room was modern and incredibly well appointed. The views of the sunrise in the morning were just breathtaking. Each and every staff member was wonderful and helpful; the White Moose exceeded all of our expectations. The robes and slippers were a sweet touch that we appreciated!! Don’t miss the breakfast! It was amazing.

The main attraction in Washington is the Inn at Little Washington- which the Michelin guide will tell you is “worth a special journey” and I have to agree. You don’t need more than a day or two but if you’re looking to relax away from it all with no cell reception and soak in the gorgeous Virginia countryside- this is the place. Close to many wineries and a perfect spot for stargazing in the evening, I’d recommend Washington to those looking to extend a trip to Shenandoah National Park or take a few days away from the city.

Very quiet, laid back town with a few upscale shops, galleries, and places to eat. Nice streets for walking, enjoying the historical buildings and getting a bit of history. Nearby vineyards, antique shops and beautiful views of the mountains.

The county that Washington is the seat of is beautiful and very much worth visiting if you like small farms everywhere and beautiful trees. The draw is the Inn at Little Washington but the small town has a number of small shops in addition to the one owned by the Inn.

Gathered around the Inn are a number of small shops offering art and crafts in a rustic setting. A stroll around the grounds of the Inn to see the animals (llamas, sheep, goats and chickens) is a delightful way to walk off the feeling of fullness after a meal.

Such an adorable town... Wish we could have stayed another day or so to explore the surrounding areas. The food in town aside from the Inn at Little Washington was fabulous. We loved it and will for sure be back soon! Do book dinner at the Inn at Little Washington one night... It was by far one of the best meals we've ever had. The food, ambiance and service all of it was excellent, 10 stars!!
