The main attraction in Washington is the Inn at Little Washington- which the Michelin guide will tell you is “worth a special journey” and I have to agree. You don’t need more than a day or two but if you’re looking to relax away from it all with no cell reception and soak in the gorgeous Virginia countryside- this is the place. Very quiet, laid back town with a few upscale shops, galleries, and places to eat. Nice streets for walking, enjoying the historical buildings and getting a bit of history. Nearby vineyards, antique shops and beautiful views of the mountains.

The county that Washington is the seat of is beautiful and very much worth visiting if you like small farms everywhere and beautiful trees. The draw is the Inn at Little Washington but the small town has a number of small shops in addition to the one owned by the Inn.

Such an adorable town...
Such an adorable town... Wish we could have stayed another day or so to explore the surrounding areas. The food in town aside from the Inn at Little Washington was fabulous. We loved it and will for sure be back soon! Do book dinner at the Inn at Little Washington one night... It was by far one of the best meals we've ever had. The food, ambiance and service all of it was excellent, 10 stars!!
