The hotel is more beautiful that it looks in the pictures. Things like the spa and restaurant are not represented in the online pictures of the resort - which is too bad. The pool area is also very nice.

We had a very lovely stay. The appartment has everything you need and even a garden. Eduardo and his wife were very friendly. Eduardo told us where we could Rent bycicles and even drove us to the bus station in the end.

This was definitely the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip to South America! Not only is the place so cozy and spacious, but Santiago (the host) is so friendly and helpful, the communication with him was very smooth - we simply loved everything. The location is perfect, few minutes walk from the central bus stop, shops, and restaurants. There is everything you could wish for, a big kitchen space, a nice patio and garden, including a fireplace outside where you can do barbecue. Beautiful bedrooms, comfy beds, clean newly looking bathroom.
The only downside was that our stay in Carmelo was just 2 days, we all agreed that we would gladly stay for a full week if we had more time. :)

Punta Gorda has great swimming spots and interesting history of Darwin's visit. We ate at Laskina in Nueva Palmira, which was a bit pricy but had delicious food. Mostly meat and fish dishes, but we were able to eat well as vegetarians.
