The staff were excellent. Free parking available. Spacious room, with stone accents. Breakfast was okay, no cook on the first day. Spotlessly clean. The pool was really good, comfortable lounges. The hotel helped us out with getting laundry done for us.

Located in Colonia del Sacramento, 1.6 km from Playa urbana Real de San Carlos, LAS LIEBRES RESTAURANT & HOTEL provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. the hotel is beautiful and classy/stylish We travel a lot and immediately noticed that in this hotel the owners put a lot of effort by using high quality decoration. Many items you see you want for your own house! the food is really fantastic and the Lebrato red wine a must! Our rental car was not allowed to go from Argentina to Uruguay and it was difficult to rent one at short notice. The owner himself arranged one (thelast one) and brought me to the city himself) He waited till everything was done ( took half an hour). We could recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Lovely peaceful and very comfortable place to stay on the outskirts of Colonia. The apartments were spacious and very well decorated and designed . The restaurant is very good for both breakfast , evening or lunchtime meals when open . The staff and owners are all very nice people who provide an excellent breakfast and meals at lunchtime and evening which are also delicious . Helen who makes & serves breakfast is a really nice, fun , and a very helpful person to speak to . Jessica and Mauro were great hosts too ! A wonderful relaxing place to stay in a very beautiful setting ‘ We will return very soon !

Pasamos un fin de semana (llegamos el sábado a la mañana y regresamos el domingo por la noche). Tiempo suficiente para recorrer Colonia con tranquilidad. Muy buena gastronomía. Hermoso atardecer sobre el río. La gente es super amable. Mucho espacio verde para descansar después de una larga caminata o bicicleteada. Ideal para un fin de semana de relax.

Colonia is, as everyone says, a lovely little colonial town! Well worth a stop off if you are in Uruguay or Buenos Aires (only 1 hour by boat). There's not loads 'to do' but it has a few interesting museums and lots of nice cafes and restaurants, and is generally just a nice place to spend a few days, even in winter!

We traveled to Colonia in the winter (July) and the day that we were there it rained, but we still walked around, so definitely bring rain gear. We stayed one night and that was perfect. We got to walk around and get to know the entire historic area and we took lots of pics. There is lots of interesting street art, too. We went to a great microbrewery in the historic part of town, Chopería Mastra Colonia. We enjoyed this visit and considered it a must while staying in Buenos Aires. Our only regret was that we didn't get to see and experience more of Uruguay.

If you fancy assado, it is well worth going for the all-you-can-eat buffet version at a place called Gardel, centre of town. Excellent value for money. From the top of lighthouse (small entry fee) one can see Buenos Aires skyline! We did a self-drive tour in July and failed to find an English guided walk during this time. Wished we could have had more historical info on the life in Colonia del Sacramento back then.

La Colonia del Sacramento is a gorgeous place.
La Colonia del Sacramento is a gorgeous place. the people are friendly in the stores and streets. there are no traffic lights except one and drivers give way to you and the street dogs are great too! they walked us along the while main street as though they were tour guides. A beautiful little gem n just 1 hour ferry ride from buenos aires.

Colonia Del Sacremento is a beautiful and pittoresque little town perfect for wandering around and taking in the calmness. I would say the town is perfect for couples. Everything of interest is within walking distance and there is a huge variety of cute shops, restaurants and bars. Would throughly recommend anyone who is looking to travel to Uruguay to include this in your intinerary. You would not need more than an afternoon and a day here though. We arrived on an afternoon, stayed one night and then the next morning and this was just right.

Nice and quiet, perfect if you just want to get away and relax. The Colonia Express Ferry from Buenos Aires took 70 minutes. Long walks, almost empty beaches, the old town with cobblestone streets and brick buildings... The Lighthouse where you can climb all the way to the top, or choose to stop at a lower level. Nice small cafés where you can have a glass of wine and an empanada.

Breakfast was lovely (although it was a bit slow for items to be replenished). Close to restaurants and shops and we took the recommendation to book dinner at the sister restaurant, Charco, which did not disappoint. We were only in Colonia for one night but hope to return and would definitely book to stay here again.

The location was top for us as we came by bus and left with Colonia Express ferry. Patricia from the reception was really kind and helpful. We could let the luggage in the hotel after the check out till the afternoon. We had lunch at a small restaurant near the hotel, Florida, which does not look very fancy, however the quality was astonishing. We enjoyed the short stay in Colonia.

Lovely hotel, with comfortable and clean rooms and friendly staff. Very good bed and breakfast. Great pool area and just of the main drag in Colonia. Ask for a room overlooking the pool.
