The employers I had contact with are really nice. They brought me to the terminal, and supported me in cleaning the room.
The house is very clean and nice with beautiful details. It was so quite there, I really enjoyed my stay!
Just be aware that you have to bring your own bed sheets. I couldn't bring some so the owner was so nice to give them to me.

ADVICE FOR AMERICANS: Lower Your Expectations! (LYE)
The first expectation is that rooms listed on Bookings.com are professionally managed properties. Even AirBnB has a baseline for services and accommodations. I have a friend that shared the certification process for AirBnB. Bookings.com does not.
1. Whatsapp Communication between the “hotel” and client is done through WhatsApp. You will have to download WhatsApp and turn the notifications on. I did not. The owner sent me a message which I did not see and therefore did not respond. Subsequently she cancelled my reservation. Only when I received an alert through the Bookings.com app, and a few phone calls later I made a new reservation.
2. Payment. This is a cash only operation. Period. All of the payment information on the listing must be cut and paste from somewhere else. The neighbor Rita, is lovely and helpful, has only one key that is traded for cash. This caught me off guard and I burned through my taxi / tip stash to pay for our stay. And because it’s cash, you will not get the EVA discount (17%).
3. Key. The one key will be an issue if your group needs to split up. We left my wife on the beach and went grocery shopping. Going back to a crowded beach on a hot day was fun.
4. Linens. The listing clearly lists linens. We received a message through WhatsApp that we needed to bring linens. Add about $75 to your cost of stay for sheets, towels, soap, shampoo, all the little things you expect in a hotel / AirBnB (LYE). There wasn’t even salt and pepper to season the bbq we grilled.

Visited Punta del Diablo at the beginning of December, still not high season, not warm enough, and quite empty. One night and one day were enough to visit the village and walk around the beaches! Beware of having cash with you, many lodgings and commerces don't accept credit cards as a payment method. The beaches and landscapes are beautiful, the people are super nice and the village has its own rustic charm.

There is a pool and hot tub. The beach is accessible by car. Facility is old but has all the amenities. Water in sink was cold. Shower fine. We ate at Tano which was very good. Take time to meander the beach and the town-- good photo ops.

Wonderful place ... tasteful food, nature everywhere, kind people.
There are many surf schools at the beach and a bookshop. You can walk and access easily to everywhere. The Chuy city is near where you can find many cheap clothes, food, etc. It´s worth to know. Santa Teresa Park is near and you can go walking through the beach. There are buses to Cabo Polonio wich is a very nice place too.

A party town lacking all normal amenities like a gas station, ATM machines, banks, tourist information centres, any commercial activity of any kind. Unplanned development and no municipal government for a very large town which apparently attracts tens of thousands of visitors in summer. Far too many people, far too many dogs running loose deficating on the beach. Even though no ATMs existed within 15-20 miles or so, many restaurants dealt only in cash. That is brazen. The weirdest place we have ever visited.

Small beach town. Excellent beaches.
Small beach town. Excellent beaches. Did not have time for the many recommended restaurants but the one we tried was amazing--Il Tano. Also the dinner we had at Complejo Playa Grande, where we stayed in one of the dome units, was delicious! Must also comment on this small group of dome units for rent: they are beautifully designed, comfortable in a well-maintained beautifully landscaped environment. Reception/breakfast/dining/common room is bright and inviting. The small compound is a short walk to one of the best beaches as well as the park with many hiking trails. We also loved their rooftop deck--perfect for stargazing! Highly recommend Complejo Playa Grande!

A great place to go with your family, the beaches are really nice (specially Playa Grande) and the little streets downtown are full of colorful restaurants and shops. There also, very nice places around, like Santa Teresa reservation to go visit. A little windy though.

It’s not easy to find a hotel which is on the first line and this one was just next to the beach, giving you such an easy access to the beach and walking distance to the Main Street with all the attractions: restaurants, cafes, shops
Peaceful place with everything you need.We stayed in suite and it had two stores and both had wonderful balconies with the view, ground floor had full kitchen with all necessary utensils.Breakfast can be served to the room, which helps to distance from outer people.I wish we could have stayed longer…
This is the best place to stay in Pubta del Diablo in my opinion. Lovely owners and their dog is gorgeous. The place is very modern and comfortable. It is great value for money and a lovely relaxed atmosphere where all the guests meet each other and socialise if they want. It's not a party hostel which I'm very relieved about after staying in the disgusting Compay hostel. Great showers, places to dry clothes, lovely morning coffee, chargers in lockets.
An original, tasteful and artistic place with the most charismatic hostess Fabiana located at a quite neighborhood of punta diablo near at the most beautiful beaches of the area with high dunes. Fabiana's breakfast is delicious 😋 and accompanied by the sound of birds makes it even more delicious. The balcony is an ideal place to rest and read and just relax. My highlight of Uruguayn. ❤️❤️❤️
Such a cool Bungalow ! Would highly recommend.
Cozy place , Beautiful crisp, clean and modern interiors, comfortable beds, balconies overlooking the garden, a sizeable shower, and an unbeatable breakfast - by far the best one on our trip through Uruguay !
Convenient and tranquil location and lovely staff. Please do yourself a favour and book here. It’s worth every penny.
This hotel has a comfortable eclectic feel to it. It has a pool and parking. The breakfast was excellent, with many choices. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was large, air conditioned and comfortable. The beach is a walkable distance and yet the owners drove us to the beach with the provided beach chairs and umbrella.
Very cute cabin. Quiet and peaceful surrounds. First proper hot water shower I’ve had in some time travelling Uruguay, really good pressure too. Very responsive host. Google maps estimated 20 min walk to the main beaches (pescadores) but I’m a pretty fast walker and it took me between 10-15. About 15 mins walk to the bus station too.
everything was very good especially the view. location is on the quiet southern side of the town. comfortable, secure, good air conditioner, WiFi, kitchen, tv, hot water, bed, all is good. the landlord was extremely helpful and the owner is very nice. good value. highly recommend for a quiet stay in Punta Del Diablo.
We loved it here and ended up staying longer than planned, using it as a base for exploring the area. Great hotel with super nice kitchen/livingroom area, good breakfast and comfortable rooms. The owner is very friendly and happy to help with whatever you need. Definitely recommend!
Great and very friendly staff, cozy place, amazing facilities and excellent location with supermarket and restaurants nearby. Besides, the bed was comfy and loved the fridge and heater in the premises. Would come back anytime, if I travel to Punta del Diablo again.
Great location and great vibes. The staff were super friendly and the place had the best breakfast we’ve had in Uruguay.
Very accommodating place, good wifi, pool, beach chairs and umbrella to borrow. Parking available.
This is a clean, comfortable Hotel run by a very friendly couple. The room was very clean, it comes with an adequate, but not sumptuous breakfast. It is a 12 minute walk from the center of this small town.
