We really enjoyed our stay at Ebisu Onsen Hotel although we were not traveling with children and we definitely did not realize the hotel was in a waterpark...I must have missed that part when using Booking.com to select this hotel. Kinda funny though, we still had a wonderful time walking the entire park which was absolutely beautiful. Loved using the hot springs and the big marble bath tub with beautiful view off the bathroom. We were notified that it would take 15+ minutes for the water for the bath to warm up. It really took a good hour for the water to get warm enough to soak in the bathtub comfortably. Once it did though it was an incredible experience. Apparently the hot water comes from the nearby hot springs thus the reason it took so long. Coming from California though we felt very guilty letting the water run for so long to get hot.

We stayed at Ebisu Onsen Resort, and this was a 20 minute car ride from the Ba Na Hills park entrance. The cable car system is fabulous. It feels like you are riding up into the clouds and beyond. Some of the pylons were so tall and had quite a steep fall away, but exceedingly safe. When we went there were four cable cars going, of which we rode three. They are just about to complete another two systems that should be finished in September 2020. From the entrance we rode the cable car to Hanoi Station, this is the stop you want to get off at to see the famous Golden Bridge, which was awesome. I would recommend being at the park as soon as it opens at 7.30am, so that you are not swamped with crowds of tourists on the bridge. We arrived a little later than we wanted to and, only just, missed the crowds. However a lot of brides and grooms get up there early to get their wedding photos taken on the bridge, so you may end up in a few shots and this slowed up our trip on the bridge for that very reason. Definitely worth going to. Then we went up into the French township on the hill. Once again we were there early and it was nice to be able to walk the streets and get in some photos of 'Sunworld' before the crowds of visitors arrived. If you like crowds, then no problems, but from a photographers point of view I prefer not. Definitely a must see if you are in the area.
